Mikan, Mr. Big Love from Olongapo, is the newest addition to the house. He took the place of ex-House Player, Shy – or did he? The first task of the House Players this week was to be clumsy with Robi. Since Andy was unable to get a move on it, Kuya gave her (ang Mikan) specific tasks to complete: spit water in Rob’s face, spill coffee down his back, and step on his big toe. Though they were almost able to accomplish their tasks, Kuya declared them non-winners. They failed to make an impression on Robi, aside from making him feel that there truly were secret tasks at hand. Both Andy and Mikon were saddened but admitted that they were unable to grab the correct opportunities. Indeed, Shy set the bar high enough to keep the other two continually on their toes. Andy was so homesick already, though only a few days in Kuya’s house. She was sad and missed her mom terribly, especially when she sees the guardians. She saw the kind of freedom PBB offers, which was unlike the familiar. She was also feeling the pressure brought about by coming in late, long after the others have bonded.
Speaking of pressure, all housemates scrambled about trying to get ready for the military exercises. All seemed well as their officers were happy with their improvements and granted them 26 merits and only 5 demerits. With a total of 60 merits, will the teens use their skills wisely to reach the 100 merit-mark? After physical training, Survival Skills were taught: knots, making a balsa or raft, chopping a coconut properly, and cooking. They tasted the fruits of their labor afterwards, as they shared a meal and became human motors to the floating raft.
Priscilla, on the other hand, was definitely less enthusiastic than they are. The rigid training was talking too much to handle, and Capt. Bernabe had to talk to her several times (with Beauty as an interpreter). She was reminded that she was not different from the rest, so it would be unfair to exempt her. This irritated Priscilla, because Val and Beauty were excused for health reasons. The Captain reminded them that they are there for a reason, not to pull the teens down. All were tired, but they kept on going. No less was expected from her.
The teens and the guardians had another tandem task: dance revo! However, after exercising their aching muscles to the tune of hip songs, they had more work ahead of them. They got back from the task to a ransacked house (c/o ex-housemate Bianca G), and were only given exactly 30 minutes to put the house back in order. Ejay stepped up to delegate, and though most of the house was back in shape, all were sure of demerits from their officers.
