PBB for Adults

March 31, 2008 2:20 AM

In their first night at Kuya’s fully-furnished house (complete with spa!), the seniors debunk the statement that oldies sleep early. All the guardians were wide-awake and chatting about all sorts of things. As they changed into their comfy sleepwear, the golden girls seriously discussed how to keep their lapels safe and dry. Apparently, the guardians took Kuya’s rules seriously, and wanted to make sure they followed it to the letter. They also planned how to cause the least noise, since they weren’t supposed to be heard by the teens – at least, not yet.

They soon broke into groups, scattered around the house: some were in the kitchen, the garden, the spa area, the room. They drifted from one group to another, and in the end merged into one as they compared experiences. The girls were obviously homemakers as they discussed where to put their laundry and which plastic bag was for what use. Daddy John was ready for a bit of show-and-tell as he brought out an album to give the others an idea of who’s who in the family. He and Alex’s mom discussed Europe for a while. The rest were sharing bits of info about their kids and how they got there, exchanged tips on aches, pains and childbirth, and topped it off with a checking of their blood pressures.

As much as the oldies were in this for the teen housemates, the fact that they themselves were housemates did not escape them, and it was evident in the way they composed themselves. What will be asked of them? Will they be able to stick it out, knowing that not being able to deal equals automatic eviction of their teen housemate? This truly is a continuing test of teen issues and family matters. How will the teens handle the parental presence that intrudes their space? How will this mini neighborhood be in the days to come? Watch out as things heat up faster than the summer air. Don’t miss Uber and Primetime to be updated with the PBB neighborhood!
