Hard facts on the 7th

May 19, 2008 10:47 PM

By nature, Filipinos are tender-hearted and non-confrontational. Yet, accountability is an important value to learn and truly a tough one to live by. Standing by one’s decisions is a sign of adulthood, and this is something that Kuya faces the teens with in this week’s nomination. For the past nominations, the teens could freely give points to their housemates in the secrecy of the Confession Room. For the seventh nomination night, the gravity of their decisions is forced on them as they are required to personally hang the medallions of votes on their nominees.

When Kuya announced this twist, all were speechless, their minds probably doing a sudden flashback to their votes. They already gave their nominees earlier in the usual way, but Kuya surprised them with this second round. No room for second thoughts, though: the rule was for them to stick to their first decision. The teens were blindfolded and Mariel tapped the housemate whose turn it was to hang the medallions. Though they didn’t see the ones who nominated them, the tension that came with the hanging of medallions was akin to hanging their co-housemate on a guillotine, if Alex’s tears (considering he didn’t get a single vote) were to be the basis.

The lone House Player finally succeeded in his task. Mikan was tasked to be close to the Positive Girl, and to prove it, she had to hug him after he opens up to her. With Rona’s open nature, Mikan wasn’t disappointed. Nikki even teased the two as she announced the new love team in the house: RoKan. Mikan unsuspectedly followed up this claim as he tells Big Bro that Rona has a certain appeal that shines through her good nature. True beauty, as they say, lies within. His next task was to serve the Dazzling Doll, and in turn, have her perform some sort of service and thank him. Val just wondered about Big Love’s actions, though, and continued sharing sweet nothings and exchanging hugs with the Promdi Hottie. Was he able to pass the next task, or was his task with Rona just a tad too easy?

Rona (with 7 points) and Robi (with 5 points) are this week’s nominees. The polls are now open, so get a head start on saving the housemate of your choice. The fate of RoRo is in your hands. Vote online or text BB (name of housemate) and send it to 2331 (for Globe, Sun and TM subscribers) or 231 for (Smart and Talk N Text subscribers). Kuyanatics in UAE may also now vote by texting BB (name of housemate) and sending it to 4200 (for Etisalat subscribers).
