No one gets left behind!

May 23, 2008 3:17 AM

Another day on the island, and the three teens expressed their intention to search for the missing Valerie. Kuya approved and even offered to help. First, though, they had to ride the boat out into the sea and look for their supplies. With floating water bottles marking the spot, they dove underwater to untie their supplies: compasses, gloves, rope, and a map with coordinates and directions towards Valerie. In Valerie’s side of the island, Kuya gave her instructions ala- message in a bottle, telling her to make smoke signals in order to be rescued. With their training, the three were able to follow the map easily and finally, got reunited with Valerie. Ejay got too excited, though, that he forgot to tie his end of the rope and threw it back in the water, so that Nan had to wade through the water to tie it himself. Beauty successfully crossed the narrow gap despite her fear of wild animals. All four then trekked back to camp where they were rewarded with a yummy dinner coupled with lively banter.
Meanwhile, those in the house were awakened by the beat of the tambuli, a native instrument. The teens have been working at their weekly task which was to create 1000 accessories, which would then be sold at the Teen-dahan for a worthy cause. All were then called into the Confession Room where Cyber Kuya informed the two girls, Rona and Nikki, to pack their things (though they’d later discover that their undies were missing, and they started pounding on Kuya’s door) for they were going to follow the others.
This has the boys saddened, and they asked Kuya about it. Cyber Kuya claimed that the three were probably too delicate for the trip, especially since they said they were feeling under the weather recently. While Alex and Robi were doing household chores, Mikan stayed behind in the confession room, and was made to select who between the two should join the girls in Palawan. Unknown to him, his conversation with Kuya was being broadcasted outside the Confession Room, and all heard that he chose to go himself. It’s a good thing the two boys were understanding and chose to be happy for him. Kuya called in Alex and Robi, and both tried to convince Kuya that they were fit enough to be there. Later, only Alex was asked into the Confession Room, and yet again, his responses were being heard outside. Alex said that he and Robi were a tandem, and if he gets to go, then so does Robi. If he has to choose, he’d waive his claim and pass it on to Robi. After exchanging hugs to those leaving, Kuya again called the three lucky teens to ask whether they wanted the two boys with them. Within minutes, they were bursting with the news: Robi and Alex were going with them! In five minutes, they had to get their stuff, their weekly task’s materials, and straighten out the house. The others helped also so they could leave as a team. Before they left, Kuya reminded them that they should fend for themselves, show concern for each other and nature, and live by: No one gets left behind!
