No Spill Driving

May 30, 2008 1:48 PM

In preparation for their weekly task performance, the teens went through a challenging task, “No Spill Driving”. Each housemate had to drive and park the go-kart from the confession room to the prayer area. A twist to this game was a glass of water placed atop the hood of the go-karts. The teens would have to keep water from spilling as they drive by humps.

Beauty jumped in the car first and was left hanging in the humps. As she tried to maneuver the go-kart over the obstacle, water spilled on the floor. This case could be said of Alex and Nan who experienced the same trouble. When Robi had his turn, he strategized and drove barefoot. Fortunately for the True Blue Atenista, he went over the humps and parked the go-kart without difficulty. Ejay, who started off weak this Monday, was able to drive the go-kart easily without any problem.

Kuya noticed that the water was still almost filled to its brim. He then decided that the winner would be the fastest driver. He called Ejay’s name to the Promdie Hottie’s surprise, and announced him as winner, driving only in 55 seconds.

With this pretty tough challenge, the teens are confident to conquer their well-prepared weekly task. Will these practices be enough for them to win or would they lose the 100% bet and resort to a measly budget? To see the teens’ practical driving exam, catch Uber later with Mariel!

Two more on the line

May 29, 2008 11:18 PM

Yesterday, Nikki was ready to be evicted yet was first to be saved from it, at least for now. Robi was next, thankful at being given another chance. This left Valerie to take her turn in exiting the yellow house, which she exited with grace and charm. Ejay cried his heart out to Kuya, in a daze and trying to convince himself that it was all just a bad dream.

Nikki was certainly making the most of the chance awarded her, and eagerly took on the task of being the lone traffic enforcer. Even while eating, she quickly caught the slightest violation and blew her whistle several times, dispensing tickets and traffic reminders. Meanwhile, Beauty and Alex gave been sharing a lot of sweet moments in the house. The lone couple left, it seems their relationship has been given an extra boost. From hugs and sweet nothings, they gave already gone as far as exchanging "I love you’s". Hmm… where is this heading? Is this brought about by proximity and the near end of it, or will this go beyond the Big Night? This closeness, however sweet, could be questioned when their nominees were revealed.

Nomination was done face-to-face again, this time by the three who were excluded from doing it last time: Alex, Ejay and Beauty. Ejay nominated Alex and Robi. He felt that, of the guy housemates, he couldn’t bond with the first. The latter got 2 points because of his seriousness and because of the fact that, even if he got booted out, he still had the means to fulfill his dreams. Beauty was all apologies to Alex and Nan, her 1 and 2, respectively. Alex was too emotional, she thought, and she had a difficult time understanding him. Nan, still happy-go-lucky, seemed unable to handle a more serious situation. Alex, too, gave Beauty two points, because she had continuously offended him by teasing him that he was gay, and because she wasn’t in need of the prize. For her hot-headedness, Nikki got his 1 point. At the end, Robi and Nan, receiving 5 and 4 points respectively, were nominated for this Saturday’s eviction.

Skipping Rope with a twist!

May 29, 2008 10:04 PM

Sports and games are never the same in Kuya’s house. Even skipping rope had to be done with a twist. The teens had to skip rope while holding a glass of colored water. The housemates had the same groups as yesterday and Kuya told them that each member to the team must try to skip rope without spilling to much water.

Beauty tried to jump in once Ejay and Nikki started to turn the ropes but the glass constantly trembled in her hands and water spilled on the floor. When Nicole’s group had their turn, she held the glass confidently and skipped rope with rhythm and grace. Which team will conquer the game this time?

Also on Uber, former housemate Valerie was interviewed by Mariel. The Dazzling Doll admitted that she never expected to receive admiration like Ejay’s.
The Promdie Hottie apparently wallowed in misery when his love interest left the house last night. When asked if Valerie would give him a chance when he courts her outside the house, she hesitated and was completely undecided. Ejay is important to her but romance wasn’t her top priority. She revealed her future plans on staying in the Philippines and possibly entering showbiz. Like Rona, she counted in Robi, Ejay and Nan in her Big Four. A new addition to this list however was Beauty.

The teens make their votes

May 29, 2008 1:56 PM

As soon as the teens have gone through their morning routine, each was called into the confession room. Beauty went in first and her bothered look said it all. She seemed to be troubled on whom to give her points to. Robi soon followed and his stoic expression contrasted Beauty’s. He nodded in understanding to Kuya’s instructions and then placed his votes. Who did these two vote? Would their choices be up for nominations tonight?

Though tonight would another be a tension-filled event, the teens didn’t let this affect them. These thoughts were set aside for the meantime as everyone grabbed their handouts and reviewed for their weekly task. If there were graphics in the handout, Beauty believed that it would help her a lot in studying. Robi on the other hand gave Nicole tips on practical driving. Everyone seemed intent on winning and showing teamwork and sportsmanship.

One more day and the teens would again be judged on their weekly task. In a few hours, the 7th set of nominees would finally be revealed. Stay tuned to the PBB Multiply Site and catch Uber for more of the final 6’s!

Taking a breather

May 29, 2008 3:39 AM

At the announcement that it truly is Valerie who would be evicted, the teens reacted with minimal shock. In fact, even Valerie was calm about the entire situation. With the Big Night only a bit more than a week away and the fact that they were really too many for the number of finalists, “the end” was something more concrete and acceptable for all. Compared to the first few weeks, the housemates now are generally more interested in making the most of their remaining time and enjoying every activity and bonding moment. Truly, the PBB experience is for the select few, and something that is worth the while.

The teens were too emotionally drained, perhaps, that they lazed around the living room and spent time talking about general things. Nikki admired Beauty’s jeans and joked about getting it instead, but “finder’s keepers” was Beauty’s reply. Nicely-fit jeans are hard to find, after all. As snug as the jeans were on Beauty, so was the hug she shared with the Italian Valentino before heading off to bed. The only couple left at the house, they lingered by the doorway in an extra-long hug, compared to the ones they exchanged with the other housemates. Nikki saw this from the door, which was slightly ajar, and waited for the two to finish. The two pulled away, but resumed after a few minutes, as Alex went back to their room and met Beauty for another squeeze.

Dazzling until the end

May 29, 2008 12:13 AM

Today is Beauty’s 17th birthday, and close buds Nikki, Robi and Alex have been planning a special celebration for days. They struck a deal with Kuya where they had to win a game in exchange for Beauty’s celebration. The teens had to go through an obstacle course where they rolled in darak or pigs’ food, and fortunately, the trio won. They went about preparing the surprise beach-themed party, irritating the celebrant no end as she couldn’t figure out what the big secret was. Kuya gave his special contribution when he called Beauty in the Confession Room while the others prepared her party outside. Since Nikki had already informed him that Beauty missed her nieces, Kuya already had a taped message from them to kick off Beauty’s special celebration. After, Nikki and Val escorted her to the poolside, where the others greeted her and later offered their birthday wishes for the Rebellious Chick. Alex came in bearing a chocolate cake, dressed in a make-shift Kapitan Boom outfit. To the strains of their fave song, the couple danced right there, to the cheers of the other housemates. Ejay and Valerie followed suit, which was just as well as it proved to be their final dance, at least for now.

With 27.82% of votes, Valerie was the unfortunate housemate to leave the house. Truly the Dazzling Doll that she was, she remained calm and collected, readily greeting the crowd with smiles and waves. Luis escorted her onstage where her Tita Violy was waiting. Valerie shared that her experience in the house was fun and happy, and that she was still determined to learn the native language. Once the video scrapbook that recalled her moments in Kuya’s house rolled, Val couldn’t help but shed tears.

Inside the house, Ejay was in denial as he numbly went through the actions, tears streaming down his cheeks. The others were quite resigned to the fact that all were going to leave eventually, and solemnly brought Val to the door earlier. Their number is dwindling fast now, and two more teens are in danger of being evicted. Nikki, who garnered 30.68% of votes, and Robi, who got 41.50%, can rest easy tonight. Tomorrow is a different story.

Modified Water Polo on Uber!

May 28, 2008 10:09 PM

The teens were introduced to a modified water polo game on Uber today. Instead of using their hands and heads to make a score, they could only use their head, cheeks and feet. Also, there would be no goalie and they would just have to make the most of their players to block off the opponents’ ball. Valerie replaced Ejay as referee since she has her monthly period. Team 1 was composed of Robi, Beauty and Alex while Team 2 included Ejay, Nicole and Nan. When Valerie threw the soccer ball in the air, Alex immediately did a header, using his football knowledge to his team’s advantage. After struggling with the ball for a while, Robi finally scored for his team. Would Ejay’s team be able to score before the buzzer sounds?

Meanwhile, Ejay seemed to be stressed because of Valerie’s problem with the girls. The Dazzling Doll confided to him that since her best buds Rona and Priscilla left, she started feeling out of place with Beauty and Nicole. The concerned young man tried to explain Valerie’s sentiments to Beauty. The girl from Dumaguete defended herself though and said that she has tried to reach out to Valerie a couple of times already. Later, Nicole commented that the reason for the gap could also be their lack of things in common.

Beauty then tried to draw Valerie in by initiating a heart-to-heart talk. Valerie seemed confused that Ejay was meddling in her problem with the girls but she shared her thoughts about her growing relationship with the Promdie Hottie. Talking about Ejay drew the two closer.

Tonight is the night! Who will be the next to leave Kuya’s house? Would it be Robi, Nicole or Valerie? See who makes it to the final 6 plus Beauty’s birthday surprise later on Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus on Primetime!

Teens sharpen their driving wits and skills

May 28, 2008 1:44 PM

The teens are roused with their wake-up call reminding them of Beauty’s and Priscilla’s birthday. The Rebellious Girl is now all of 17 years and she’s thrilled with the prospect of being a bonafide adult soon. Robi and Alex greeted former housemate Priscillia, in hopes she would see their effort. Also, Beauty mentioned that she never had a birthday party since she was 4. Would Kuya throw a bash for the Rebellious Chick?

Meanwhile, all are dead set to win their weekly task. Nicole was tasked to be the traffic enforcer for the day and she is determined to strictly implement the rules. The boys on the other hand, picked up their go-karts in the storage room and quickly set this up. They encountered a teeny problem though; their go-kart doesn’t seem to work. Each housemate had their own theories about it, whether it was low battery, or the red wheels are just plainly dysfunctional. Nan figured out the problem and plugged the car in the electric socket to give it life.

Robi jumped in the red go-kart and steered his way down the house. Alex and Nan then gave a go at it and enjoyed their ride. Since the boys were enjoying their toy too much, the girls made their time productive and reviewed for their written exam. Each soon had their turn and all diligently practiced and mindfully obeyed traffic rules. It seems like betting 100% of their budget is worth it after all.

Sad thoughts

May 28, 2008 4:00 AM

Birthday girl Beauty lamented her upcoming day. Oblivious to the preparations the other teens were planning for her, she washes clothes on her lonesome and voices out her thoughts: “Kawawang Beauty. Birthday ko pa naman bukas, kahit walang handa, sana naman… I don’t know…” Beauty had already shared her wish to spend her birthday in a small celebration with the other teens, especially since she hadn’t had a really special birthday since she was four. The usual routine was that she would be given money, a few dishes and that was it. This time would surely be special, especially as she was in the PBB house. She would, after all, be celebrating with the entire PBB community worldwide!

Valerie entered the girls’ room and shared her exasperation with Ejay. The two were just talking a while ago when Ejay started to ask her a question, then stopped halfway through it. Despite her urging, all the Promdi Hottie could come up with were a few mumbled words and “basta”. Nikki suggested she talk to Ejay and share her thoughts, but Val said she already tried that. Beauty suggested that Val scare him, that she won’t talk to him. Val explained that she tried that one, too. In fact, she threatened to go to Kuya when he refused to tell her the rest of the question. The funny part was, Kuya suddenly called for her at that moment, which rattled Ejay more. Already at a loss with how to handle Ejay’s angst, Val decided she didn’t want to spend her remaining days worrying about Ejay, instead enjoy it with everyone else. Beauty agrees, saying that the problem is with Ejay already, and that the solution can come from him alone.

Valerie ups the conversation, asking Beauty if she can imagine herself with Alex. Surprisingly, contrary to her emotions after their special dinner, Beauty said that she can only see them as best friends. Despite the many moments she had shared with Ejay, the Dazzling Doll claimed she cannot find love in the PBB house. It was too stressful that she cannot fall in love there. She is surprised at how emotional the boys get. Though both were sincerely touched by the boys’ gestures, falling in love and entering into anything serious was quite a long way off. Will Valerie be able to share these thoughts with Ejay? Will Beauty give in to Alex’s proximity?

Drifting, driving and brake

May 28, 2008 3:25 AM

The teens woke up to sounds of cars driving past followed by the intro of the Tokyo Drift theme. In a few minutes, they were dancing and revved up to find out what was in store for them. Nikki and Nan both guessed that it had something to do with driving, and Nan roused Ejay’s interest by telling him about go-carts, a new concept to the Promdi Hottie. True enough, the teens found their house covered by roads and traffic signs, complete with a working traffic light. Robi and Nan were tasked to be the first traffic enforcers, and clad in blue uniforms, they managed the human traffic with a smile and a dance. For their weekly task, everyone was supposed to pass their written and practical exams, a preparation for the time they finally apply for their license. They better do well, since they bet 100% of their allowance on it!

The teens then headed to the activity area, where they were surprised with the sudden mini race-track, and a car running circles around it. But what really had them running was the fact that Gaby dela Merced, former housemate and driver extraordinaire, would be their driving instructor. Very patient and encouraging, Gaby made each teen feel at ease. The teens were shown the proper sitting position and the mirrors and the proper way of driving a manual. Gaby reported them to be open-minded and fast learners. In the house, though, the boys still couldn’t get over Gaby’s prowess at driving… and how her hair flowed as she was drifting. Hmm.

The teens had another game and each was given a special gift, some more personal than others. Alex got a soccer ball, Beauty got an entire chocolate cake, and Nikki got a dress. Nan and Robi had moments with their siblings, and both were very happy. Robi’s bro, Maro, reminded his kuya that he was proud of him and missed him. Same was true for Nan’s two sisters. Ejay got the coveted 100 seconds with Mommy Josephine. So overwhelmed was he that he went to Valerie to share right after. Valerie, on the other hand, got a framed pic of her and her dad. Missing her dad has always been a touchy subject for Val, and she was in tears as she declared it to be the best gift ever.

Beauty wins another game, and her prize is a special moment with Alex, orchestrated by Kuya. Alex was supposed to make her a poem in Filipino, only he couldn’t seem to organize his thoughts, much less translate it. With Robi’s help, though, he finally finished it and had time to dress up. Robi attempted to distract the others, but they could see through him; after all, he was really bad at lying. Eventually, Alex and Beauty were in the secret room decorated to be a mini-prom, with a bouquet of flowers and candlelit settings. The Italian Valentino read his poem and they hugged a lot. When they finally went back to the house, Beauty was overwhelmed that she blurted out, “I think I’m in love,” which scared the other two girls. Asked by Kuya if she meant it, she said not, but she really appreciated the gesture. Alex’s response to Kuya was that Beauty was more than just a friend. He recalled how he’d always look for her and appease her. That evening, Beauty admits to Nikki that she feels something for Alex, but is bothered since he has a girlfriend outside, and she didn’t want to hurt anyone.

Soon it will end

May 26, 2008 12:49 AM

After the live and rattling nominations, the teens attempt to get back to their normal routine. Ejay and Nan take charge in the kitchen, though Nikki and Beauty were not in the mood to eat. The girls scarfed on ice cream, though, and later retreated to their room once again. Valerie seriously felt that the two were too close to the point of shutting others out, so this time she was included in the girls’ exchange. Beauty notices that, unfortunately, the fewer they become, the farther they go from each other. This is probably a manifestation that the pressure of being pitted against each other, even in a small way, brings.
Beauty was feeling bad about her upcoming birthday. Despite (or maybe even because) of the nearing Big Night, she fervently wished that her birthday this year be special. After 4 years old, she claimed, she never had another complete birthday. She was just given some money, cake and food, but what she really wanted were memories to cherish. Little did she know that the rest of the teens were really preparing something special, with Kuya’s help. Nikki led the group and everyone tried pitching ideas. For this, she approached Alex and Robi to prepare.

Nikki, who also told Kuya is that she’d rather have face-to-face nominations, had issues with Robi, and she relayed this to Beauty, who seconded her points. Both felt that Robi didn’t listen to others and thinks he is responsible for everyone. He also apparently imposes his ideas and expects that it should be followed. Valerie also talked to Robi after he came back from the Confession Room, and was trying to convince him not to give up. “Soon it will end,” assured the Dazzling Doll. Several times nominated would get someone thinking hard, no doubt. “There’s a fine line between giving up and giving others a chance,” said Robi. He was seriously contemplating which move would be for the benefit of “the greater good”. He didn’t want to think of PBB as a contest, yet it was getting harder to do so. Stay or go?

Harapang Nominasyon! ..kaso apat lang!

May 25, 2008 10:40 PM

Kuya takes responsible nominations a notch higher: face-to-face nominations, no more blindfolds this time. The remaining housemates were made to pick a number from a bowl. Only those who picked the numbers 1-4 will openly reveal their nominees and their reasons, again without changing the original choices they made earlier. Nikki, Nan, Val and Robi were unfortunate enough to pick numbers 1-4 respectively, while Alex, Beauty and Ejay got the remaining numbers that allowed them to stay silent.

Nikki nominated Nan and Val. She felt that one point wouldn’t do much against Nan and Val’s two points were nothing compared to the good life waiting for her outside. So were Nan’s reasons for giving Val one point, while Robi got his two points because Nan felt the Atenean had changed. Val nominated Beauty and Nikki because she felt the two were too close that they made it difficult for others to relate to them. Robi gave a point to Nan, whom he felt would not be in danger of nominations, and Ejay, considering his dad already won as the Guardians’ Big Winner.

All votes considered, only three were nominees remained. Nikki and Val both got 5 points, and Robi followed at 4. Asked why they should be saved from evictions, Nikki said, "Marami pa akong kayang patunayan. Marami pa akong dapat gawin. At nandito pa si Beauty." Robi reasoned that "marami na akong napatunayan at kaya pang patunayan". Valerie, obviously flustered as she rambled on, was concerned that she still needed to study her Tagalog and would want to enjoy her time.

The Big Night is set for the 7th, and things are getting hotter and hotter within the house. The sched of the remaining three eviction nights: May 28, May 31 and June 4. Mark your calendars and be right in the middle of the action! Which housemate will say goodbye? It’s your call!

Polls are now open, and Nikki, Robi and Val are on the line. Take your pick of the deserving teen and start voting! The “Big Night” Confusion

May 25, 2008 2:10 PM

Early this morning, the boys discovered their furniture missing. The sofa and the altar particularly were not where it used to be. Robi then wondered what this could all mean and what events would take place today. Junior Kengkoy Nan speculated that today could probably be their last day since the staff seemed to start emptying the house in preparation for PDA. Alex on the other hand further proved this theory by telling them his dream about all of them leaving the house.

These speculations and sentiments were soon shared to the girls. Since the Guardian Big Night was already held last Sunday, they assumed that today would be theirs. The thought of the evictions then prompted Nicole to think that she felt that she would be the first evictee. Beauty, who was still worried about committing two violations, strongly felt that she would be a force evictee tonight. Valerie was levelheaded with this matter and subtly reminded them that they shouldn’t jump to conclusions. Aside from this, they could never really guess what Kuya’s plans are.

To add to this growing anxiety, all lights were shut off and had the girls screaming. Nan commented that if Rona were there, she would freak out in the dark. All thought they would be viewing a movie but it seems that Kuya had other plans in mind.

What are Kuya’s plans for the housemates? What happened to the missing furniture? Would the usual nomination push through tonight or would there be other events that would take its place? Stay tuned to Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus as the season is reaching its finale!

Teens are back?

May 24, 2008 4:21 AM

The teens were back in the house after several days out in the wilderness. Aside from their Island Adventure tasks, they also had to finish their weekly task of 1,000 teen-made accessories. Except for the excited murmuring and recap of adventures, it seemed it was business as usual in the PBB household.

The season has been extended several times already, and even without a calendar in the house, the teens also felt the stretched time inside. Kuya had the teens undergo a routine check-up, just to make sure all was a-ok with their health. It was a good thing he did, too, because Beauty had hemorrhoids and she might have to have a soft diet (which she dislikes!) for proper observation.

They went and broke into little groups as they waited fro their turn. Valerie and Robi sat by the pool talking about Ateneo and Robi;s brother Maro. Robi missed his bro already and fondly shared how he and his brother sleep together at night. Talk drifted off to the Ateneo, and full of pride, Robi gave an overview of his school. Beauty joined in and complained about her hemorrhoids, which Robi said can be operated quickly by his dad. But nope, no operations for the shuddering Beauty. Nikki followed the group and joined in the conversation. They noticed the way Rona counted everything, from pimples to scoops of rice. After, they recalled how they became part of PBB in the first place. A funny anecdote about Alex was shared by all: During his auditions, he barely knew the native language. When asked by Nikki how he passed, the Italian Valentino’s reply was: “Look at me!”.

Seems like the teens are bonding again, but with another weekend coming up, are they ready for the possibilities? Who between Rona and Robi will be saved? Who will be up next for nominations? There’s still time, so cast your votes for Robi and Rona. Vte online or text BB (name of housemate) and send it to 2331 (for Globe, Sun and TM subscribers) or 231 for (Smart and Talk N Text subscribers). Kuyanatics in UAE may also now vote by texting BB (name of housemate) and sending it to 4200 (for Etisalat subscribers). Don’t miss tomorrow’s live sjow on Primetime Bida!

All together now!

May 24, 2008 4:00 AM

The first four teens were exhausted after their trek back from saving Valerie that they had no trouble falling asleep. So deep in slumber were they that they didn’t notice five more teens joining them and sleeping beside them. The latecomers Robi, Rona, Nikki, Alex and Mikan even woke up earlier, and shook the others awake. After a cheery – and quite loud (thanks to Beauty’s trademark squeals) – welcome, the latecomers proceeded to greet Kuya in the Confession Room. Since they had to go up a tall ladder, Mikan opted to stay on the ground, for fear of causing the tree house to crash. Kuya wouldn’t have it though, and asked “Wala ka bang tiwala sa ‘kin?” The next moment had Mikan bumbling up the creaky bamboo ladder to greet Kuya as well. Fortunately, all were able to go down in one piece, just in time to brush their teeth – the native way, of course!

Next, the housemates were divided into two groups: the original 4 and the latecomers. For the grand prize of toothbrushes and toothpaste, they had to save Mikan who was floating around a few miles off the shore. They had to create a sturdy raft, which tried all their survival skills training, using available materials such as bamboo and tree branches. Ejay even climbed the tree to get some of these. Then, they had to dig the sand so they could launch their rafts, and ride it all the way to rescue Mikan, and back. Despite being new to the island, the latecomers’ team won this task!

Next up was the ‘make your own mermaid’s tail” task. The teens were paired up and the boys had to make a tail of sand for their partners. Halfway through the game, Rona screamed as she felt something biting her. Turned out to be a false alarm, but it also ended the game as Mikan, who served as the referee/timer/ judge, put his arms down. Ejay and Val won the challenge and the other teams – Nan-Rona, Robi-Nikki, Alex-Beauty – were happy for them.

The most interesting task yet was when they were sent to search for certain figures (the Holy Family, Sharon Stone, and the giant mushroom) n the rock formations found inside the renowned Puerto Prinsesa Subterranean River National Park. This proved to be quite easy and more of a tourist-y experience, since they were accompanied by Mang Toting, the most requested tour guide of the underground river. Various trivia was dispensed by him, and all were in awe at the natural wonders around them. Robi was really excited as it was his first time. Rona couldn’t help but gush about how rich the Philippines was to have such a treasure. Ejay, too, was struck by the natural stone formations. Mayor Edward Hagedorn talked about Puerto Prinsesa, and proudly announced that the Puerto Prinsesa Subterranean River National Park was nominated to be part of the "New 7 Wonders of the World”.

Last hours in the house

May 23, 2008 1:45 PM

Two days of endless karaoke sessions and movie watching, and the guardians are satisfied with their short vacation. A new addition of guardians, Daddy Erning and Mommy NingNing went in last night and joined in the fun. Though they enjoyed their stay in Kuya’s house, all are excited about the teens’ arrival and the outside world. Mommy My Love particularly wanted to go out already and wondered why Daddy John was allowed to leave.

Mommy Minda revealed that her heart was heavy and she wanted to weep it all out. However much she wanted to though, she can’t. The Italian Valentino’s mom didn’t say though what the cause of this was. Mommy NingNing humorously suggested her to cut onions or think of something really weep worthy.

The guardians have made plans on what they will be doing as soon as they come out. Mommy Rose mentioned that she and the other guardians had been to Daddy Ike’s place. Mommy Minda wanted to experience this as well and made plans on visiting them soon. The Italian’s mom seemed to want to explore the Philippines much as she said that she wanted to go to Palawan with the teens.

If Mommy Minda wanted to explore the Philippines, Mommy Jinky and Mommy NingNing were preoccupied with their future love life. The two moms jokingly told Mommy Minda to find them boyfriends abroad. Mommy Minda giggled and considered starting an agency soon.

Ramblings and plans excited the guardians but they still couldn’t ignore the fact that eviction night is drawing near and the teens haven’t returned yet. Will the teens come back in time for eviction night? Will they even accomplish their 1,000 beaded bracelets weekly task? Find out the answers to these later on Uber!

The teens are back!

May 23, 2008 7:17 PM

The teens are finally home! And all are excited to see the familiar activity hall and their comfy beds. All tanned and glowing, the housemates rushed inside the house and found tasty dishes waiting for them. Earlier the guardians whipped up a feast for the teens which included their favorites: empanada, adobo and afritada. Though the food looked incredibly scrumptious, Beauty and Nicole couldn’t help but eat some chocolate, something they missed for how many days. To add to this feast, Kuya gave them unlimited shower time which had the teens hooting in delight.

Also on Uber, Mayor Edward Haggedorn gave an overview of Palawan. The island is definitely a tourist attraction with an underground river and a virgin forest. These in fact are up for nomination as part of the seven wonders of the world. Take part in the voting for the seven wonders of the world and register at www.new7wonders.com. Aside from this, he also campaigned for the preservation of these natural resources.

A recap on the happenings in Palawan was also shown this afternoon. Nicole and Beauty seemed to compete for Alex’s attention on the island. Beauty missed Alex so much and she gave the housemate a big hug. But after a few minutes, Nikki also enveloped the Italian Valentino in a tight embrace. Could this spark conflict between the Rebellious Girl and the In-Chick from Cebu?

Kuya tested the housemates water survival skills by placing Mikan in the middle of the sea. The teens, which were divided into two teams, had to save the house player. Rona, Nicole, Alex and Robi made up group one while Beauty, Nan, Ejay and Valerie comprised group two. The teens had to make use of their military training to build a raft and rescue Mikan. Robi’s team built their raft rather quickly and they immediately set off towards the sea. Beauty’s team however struggled with their raft. Will they be able to catch up with the first group? Witness the end of this task, the meeting of the housemates, and the teens’ underground river expedition on PBB Teen Edition Plus later on primetime!

Guardian Love Team, Agenda: Paiyakin si Mommy Minda, Kailan kaya sila babalik?,.....

Guardian Love TeamMay 23, '08 2:47 AM

As in yung todo todong iyak para gumaan ang kalooban niya. Hmm...

Kailan kaya sila babalik?May 22, '08 9:44 PM

This is the life talaga para sa mga mommies. '

Karaoke time with the mommies!May 22, '08 1:20 AM

Nagpasikat rin si Mommy My Love at bumirit sa kantang "Crazy For You".

No one gets left behind!

May 23, 2008 3:17 AM

Another day on the island, and the three teens expressed their intention to search for the missing Valerie. Kuya approved and even offered to help. First, though, they had to ride the boat out into the sea and look for their supplies. With floating water bottles marking the spot, they dove underwater to untie their supplies: compasses, gloves, rope, and a map with coordinates and directions towards Valerie. In Valerie’s side of the island, Kuya gave her instructions ala- message in a bottle, telling her to make smoke signals in order to be rescued. With their training, the three were able to follow the map easily and finally, got reunited with Valerie. Ejay got too excited, though, that he forgot to tie his end of the rope and threw it back in the water, so that Nan had to wade through the water to tie it himself. Beauty successfully crossed the narrow gap despite her fear of wild animals. All four then trekked back to camp where they were rewarded with a yummy dinner coupled with lively banter.
Meanwhile, those in the house were awakened by the beat of the tambuli, a native instrument. The teens have been working at their weekly task which was to create 1000 accessories, which would then be sold at the Teen-dahan for a worthy cause. All were then called into the Confession Room where Cyber Kuya informed the two girls, Rona and Nikki, to pack their things (though they’d later discover that their undies were missing, and they started pounding on Kuya’s door) for they were going to follow the others.
This has the boys saddened, and they asked Kuya about it. Cyber Kuya claimed that the three were probably too delicate for the trip, especially since they said they were feeling under the weather recently. While Alex and Robi were doing household chores, Mikan stayed behind in the confession room, and was made to select who between the two should join the girls in Palawan. Unknown to him, his conversation with Kuya was being broadcasted outside the Confession Room, and all heard that he chose to go himself. It’s a good thing the two boys were understanding and chose to be happy for him. Kuya called in Alex and Robi, and both tried to convince Kuya that they were fit enough to be there. Later, only Alex was asked into the Confession Room, and yet again, his responses were being heard outside. Alex said that he and Robi were a tandem, and if he gets to go, then so does Robi. If he has to choose, he’d waive his claim and pass it on to Robi. After exchanging hugs to those leaving, Kuya again called the three lucky teens to ask whether they wanted the two boys with them. Within minutes, they were bursting with the news: Robi and Alex were going with them! In five minutes, they had to get their stuff, their weekly task’s materials, and straighten out the house. The others helped also so they could leave as a team. Before they left, Kuya reminded them that they should fend for themselves, show concern for each other and nature, and live by: No one gets left behind!

A glimpse of the teens’ island adventure

May 22, 2008 7:07 PM

Mariel shared merienda with the guardians on Uber today and they all watched the teens face various challenges on the plasma TV. On the second day of the four teens stay in Palawan, they rowed their way to a distant isle. There they met the Lady of the Mangrove who looks after the 200-year-old trees.

As they spoke to her, they learned much about the environment. These trees, the teens discovered, are used to block off huge waves. However, they get fewer as the years go by and they were then obliged to replace these old trees by planting seedlings. The teens then bade farewell to the much devoted caretaker.

In this island, there also lay dead trees which bred a mollusk called Tamilok, a worm-looking delicacy. Beauty, Nan and Ejay snacked on the exotic food after soaking them in vinegar. Beauty bravely took the first bite and after realizing it very tasty, ate to her heart’s content.

Meanwhile, Valerie was led out of their home base towards a much farther island. With the lack of anyone to talk to, she “befriended” a monitor lizard, commonly known as bayawak, and fed it her meager food supply. The Dazzling Doll has yet to be rescued by the other three but she still has to create smoke signals for them to find her whereabouts. Will Nan, Ejay and Beauty find her before the day is over?

Robi, Nicole, Rona, Mikan and Alex finally arrive in Palawan. Ex-teen housemates Jolas, Kevin and Josef guided the five out of the plane and to their home base. What tasks would these five face? And will the first four teens easily discover the presence of the other housemates? See the answers to these and check out the meeting of the teens later on Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus!

Lounging around with the Guardians

Mommy Minda, Mommy Jinky, Mommy My Love and Mommy Rose are up and about this morning, all ready to do some major cleaning. The mommies were determined to make the house spic and span before the teens return from their island adventure. To further stretch their limbs and muscles, Kuya played an exercise song for them.

Kuya conversed with them through the plasma and asked how they were. He even told them to make use of the pool should they want to. Mommy Minda assured Cyber Kuya that he didn’t have to worry about them. They would be perfect angels and would give him no problem.

Over breakfast, the mommies talked about their children. Mommy Rose was a bit worried of Rona’s possible eviction this Saturday though she has learned to accept it already. She believes that Rona and Robi have matured ahead of the other housemates and were not just typical teens. Her daughter especially could relate well with different kinds of people. Mommy Jinky offered her experience with her daughter Priscilla’s eviction. She said that when Priscilla came out, she finally had peace of mind.

The mommies chatted on about where their kids got their looks from. Rona got her beauty from her grandmother while Kevin, they speculated, got his looks from his mom. Mommy My Love shyly confessed that while she was pregnant with Nan, she had a fondness towards Donald Duck, so she somehow sees her son like the cartoon character. The guardians giggled at this and Mommy Minda agreed saying that he even looked more like the character right after he showers.

After a filling breakfast, the guardians were provided with karaoke entertainment. Mommy Rose and Mommy My Love sang their hearts out to the tune of “Crazy For You” and “How Did You Know” among others. Truly this was one relaxing vacation for the guardians. Could the teens be enjoying the same vacation as their parents are having? See Rona, Robi, Alex, Nicole and Mikan’s first day in the wonderful isle of Palawan later on Uber!

Guardians are back in the house

May 22, 2008 4:05 AM

Five of them accepted the invitation: Daddy John, Mommy Minda, Mommy Rose, Mommy Jinky, and Mommy My Love. Since Mommy Minda and Mommy My Love saw the “guardians’ PBB season” until the end, they were probably feeling at home and settled in quite easily. After all, it has only been a few days since they left the house.Daddy John exited earlier, though he certainly made the most of it. Premature as his stay was, it was still more than can be claimed by Mommy Rose and Mommy Jinky, who were both part of the first batch of guardian evictees. This probably felt like a vacation of sorts, considering how well-equipped Kuya’s house is. Food, entertainment, comfy accommodations, amenities (see: pool, exercise machines, plasma TV, overflowing goodies) --- all are well-provided for. Thinking about it, staying in Kuya’s house even beats quite a number of hotel accommodations, suites and villas included. The best part is, it’s free!

It is a well-earned rest for them. Time and again, it’s been shown how guardians are really a lot like the teens (though as a teen, the gap seems so concrete). As much as they do work and tinker around the house, the chance to just kick off their shoes and lay back has no doubt given them something to smile about. They spent the day lounging and chatting, some more than others. Mommy Jinky busied herself with sewing some sort of patchwork cover, while Mommy My Love and Mommy Rose draped themselves on the couch ala-Cleopatra as they watched movies on TV. Like the proud parents they were, talk would often drift towards their kids and family life. In fact, this remained the topic of conversation between Mommy Minda and the girls until they finally went off to dreamland.

Walang iwanan

May 22, 2008 4:07 AM

Upon waking up, Robi, Rona, Nikki, Alex and Mikan wondered where the rest have gone. Even Kuya was quiet, and only they only had occasional instructions via the plasma TV. It was lucky that they had Kuya Primo, from Puerto Prinsesa’s Tagbanua tribe, to watch over them. As the missing housemates were roughing it out in the far island, so were the remaining five stripped of certain comforts. Their supplies were confiscated and replaced with the rugged ones. Their food was alive, and had to be caught first. Fortunately, they got to catch the chicken with their traps and Kuya Primo taught them how to prepare the eel or palos. Robi was intent in learning how to prepare the eel. Rona was first in catching a chicken, followed by Robi and Alex. Even Nikki was involved as she held the chicken which was about to be decapitated. Kuya Primo entertained them by teaching native songs, and they taught him the PBB dance in return. Getting the eel was their first task, and this would be exchanged for a clue to the whereabouts of the four missing teens. They failed this, so they were given a second chance: to eat an entire bowl of tamilok, a worm that lived in the mangroves. Nikki went first and, though she wasn’t enthusiastic about it, was able to finish her turn properly. Same went for the rest except Mikan who, despite spouting trivia about it earlier, spat it back out. Despite the glitch, the task was completed and they got their clue about the rest.

Ejay, Beauty and Nan woke up without Val in sight! The Dazzling Doll was spirited off by camouflaged persons at dawn, was taken off in a boat and left alone on another part of the island. The covert “bushes” were none other than ex-housemates Josef, Jolas and Kevin who were sent by Kuya to test the credo of the remaining teen housemates. Will they stick to their word and not allow one of them to go MIA?

Though obviously bothered, not one moved from their site and went about the tasks for the day. They were sent to the mangroves or bakawan via boat, where they met Lady Mangrove. She was singing about the nature of the mangrove and after educating them, proceeded to give them their first task: to plant new trees in the mangrove to add and replace the centuries-old trees there. Their second task was to get in the water to harvest talaba or clams which would also be part of their dinner. Beauty, who was terrified of the swampy water and possible creatures, was carried by Ejay and stayed in the boat while the two boys went underwater. Armed with a big rock, she used it to pound on the clams the boys handed to her. Their third task was to gather tamilok, a white form of worm that ate the bark of the old mangrove trees. This was a delicacy in Puerto Prinsesa and one that was also a rich source of iodine, protein and calcium. The teens flavored it with vinegar and had it for a snack.

The three headed back to camp and had another task waiting for them. They had to use a bow and arrow to get the fruits sitting on top of wooden stakes. Though unsuccessful, Kuya allowed them to eat the grapes. Dinner was over and done, yet there was still no sign of Valerie, a fact that was pointed out to the three teens by Kuya in the Confession Room. So trusting were they in Kuya that, though worried, all assumed that Val was off on a secret mission and thought it best to not question her disappearance. Unfortunately, though Kuya did have a hand in the matter, the point of the situation was to test their commitment to the credo, and they failed miserably. Ejay should probably have trusted his guts and risked Kuya’s probable ire and went off in search of his beloved. In fact, poor Valerie was off alone in another part of the island, scared and at a loss. She spent the entire day feeding stray animals and lamenting her fate: “Saklolo… Walang fire dito, walang magluto dito, walang kain dito. Saklolo, saklolo. Ay, diyos ko!” Restless though their sleep was, surely it was nothing compared to the lone Valerie who was curled up in a clammy cave.

Finally, the teens in the house were shown a video clip of the four housemates. Though sad to be left at home, they were truly happy to have spent the time with Kuya Primo, and they continued stringing beads. Kuya even talked to them all the way from the island to ask how they were and thank Ka Primo. Robi reported that the Tagbanuan was taking good care of them. Alex and Nikki expressed their regret at not being with Kuya and Mikan joked about being tortured and not being fed.

Things are definitely getting interesting! Tomorrow’s Primetime Bida will show the remaiing teens’ conversation with “Cyber Kuya” who instructs Nikki and Rona to pack, as they will soon follow the first four housemates on the island. See how the remaining boys will react and witness the girls’ fluster as they discover their undies gone. Don’t miss out on the PBB Teens Plus Island Adventure!

Mariel and the guardians invade Kuya’s house

May 21, 2008 7:31 PM

It’s Ka Primo’s last day in the house and Uber host Mariel interviewed him regarding his stay. The Tribal Chieftain revealed that Robi was his favorite among the teens. The True Blue Atenista was diligent, he was easy to teach and he also had the initiative of asking Ka Primo what he could do for him. Ka Primo believes that the others probably had a hard time coping with the tasks which explains their lack of initiative. In regard with the weekly task, he was very optimistic that the teens would have the 1,000 beaded bracelets done by Friday.

In exchange for the tribal chieftain’s lessons, Robi had the opportunity to give Ka Primo a glimpse of the modern day lifestyle. The two bonded over pizza in the reward room and Robi provided some entertainment by playing the guitar for Ka Primo. Kuya Primo said that he actually likes learning about the Pinoy’s modern culture. He also said that he wants his kids to have knowledge of it so they won’t be left behind by the times. He told Robi that he will cherish this once in a lifetime experience forever.

Also, a sneak peek of the teens in Palawan was shown on Uber today. Gone are the days of the convenience of food and shelter. The teens would be living in a tree house and would be scouting for their food. Ejay and Nan struggled in climbing the rope all the way up a tree house just to talk to Kuya. Aside from this, the teens, who worked hard to hunt for food, had their meager supplies stolen by monkeys. No matter how hard they shooed the animals away the monkeys were not even a little bit scared of them. How will the teens defend their loot from Kuya’s “friends”?

Mommy Minda, Daddy John, Mommy Rose, Mommy Jinky and Mommy My Love were present inside the house to witness the teens’ island adventure in Palawan on the plasma TV. After the five remaining housemates left this morning, the five guardians volunteered to do a little clean up inside Kuya’s house. Work turned into relaxation by the time Uber came around and Mariel even had a pung-pong-galapong time with Alex’s mom.

What else would the guardians do now that they have the house all to themselves? Have Rona, Robi, Nicole, Alex and Mikan caught up with the others? Stay stuck on ABS-CBN to find out the answers to these questions! Also catch more of the housemates’ Big Island Adventure and worm eating challenge tonight on PBB Teen Edition Plus on primetime.

What Ejay really did

May 21, 2008 3:15 PM

A few weeks back, there was some confusion about an incident involving Ejay and house player Mikan. This began when Shy introduced Andi to the teens as a long time friend. The first house player also explained that Andi had been staying in a secret room where she had been observing the teens for some time.

The housemates became curious if such a room really existed. When Mikan entered the house, Robi and Ejay tried to talk about it. Ejay asked Mikan if he did stay in secret room in the house and observed them. Previous reports were incorrect in stating that Ejay had asked Mikan about the outside world, which would have meant he committed an offense. But since Ejay had not violated any house rule, he was not up for automatic nomination for this week.

The remaining 5 are off to Palawan

May 21, 2008 2:17 PM

Bamboo percussions woke the teens today, hinting at the jungle adventure waiting for them. The Island Adventure teaser also played over and over again on the plasma screen. All were called into the confession room and Kuya told the girls specifically that they would be following the other four. They were instructed to pack light and to bring food and water. The two girls then hurriedly packed two sets of clothes, swimwear, bananas and chips.

Robi and Alex thought that they were excluded from the island getaway because they were not physically fit enough to tough it out in the wild after a medical check-up last night. The two even did push-ups to demonstrate they were healthy and fit to join the other housemates somewhere out there. However, Big Brother gave no sign of giving them a pass to the island adventure. Kuya Primo then kidded Robi that he would be the only one left to take care of the house.

While the boys tried their best to convince Kuya, Mikan was called into the confession room. Kuya asked him to decide who between Alex and Robi he would want to go on the trip. Since Mikan couldn’t decide, and he wanted the experience as well, he chose himself to accompany the two girls. He then told the boys the news which further stressed them.

Mikan, Nicole and Rona, all packed and ready to go, gave the two boys hugs and sympathetic farewells. After a few minutes inside the activity area, the three barged again inside the house and shouted last minute instructions. Kuya was just teasing the two boys and would be coming with them after all. They had to pack their bags in five minutes and the boys rushed about excitedly, throwing stuff into their bags carelessly. The five then ran to the activity area and wore their blindfolds. They are now all set to go to Palawan.

With all the housemates in Palawan, who would be in charge of finishing the 1,000 beaded bracelet task? What other exciting adventures would the five experience on the island? See the full story later on Uber!

Adventurous tastebuds

May 21, 2008 4:05 AM

It shouldn’t have come as such a surprise that the teens left behind were definitely not excused from tasks. Though they were safely tucked in Kuya’s house, the remaining five teens were made busy making beaded items. They had to reach 1,000 pieces and these will be sold at the Teen-dahan ni Kuya. Day in and day out, they busied themselves with the minute beads, choosing each carefully. Looks like we have something else to line up for at the store!

The teens were also made to sympathize with their “other half”, to be in solidarity with, – the first batch who left. Resources such as a stove, water, and time were very limited. Robi, with the help of Rona and Kuya Primo, prepared dinnier, laid out on traditional banana leaves. In fact, they even had to fetch their own meal: eel, which was flopping around like crazy. In exchange, they get their second clue as to where she could be found. They failed this, though, so no clue for them. Kuya gave them a second chance: they had to finish an entire bowl of gelatinous food, made from mangrove trees. They were to take turns until it was all gone, and no one was supposed to back down. Nikki went first, and although she declared it weird, she was able to take her share. Same was true for Robi, Rona and Alex. In fact, Alex even got more than his share. Mikan was surprised that he was the only one who complained about the food, especially when he threw it up after eating their cookies. Rona teased him, saying that he ought to do it for Beauty (Mikan’s admitted crush). A few moments later, all were back and eating the food.

Island Adventure!

May 21, 2008 3:45 AM
It was still dark when the Air Force officers arrived at the house and roused only a select group of teens: Nan, Ejay, Val and Beauty. The teens were brought out into the activity area where there were a pile of supplies. Each had to select three items which they felt would be useful to them, keeping in mind the survival training they underwent a week ago. Beauty chose a clay pot, matches, and salt. Val valued a first aid kit, a flashlight, and a knife. Ejay selected a helmet, a bolo, and a chopping knife. Nan picked out a bolo, a flashlight, and a compass. Before they went on, they were reminded of this: Walang iwanan.
They were again blindfolded and traveled to a waiting plane, followed by a helicopter ride and ended on a secluded island in our very own Puerto Prinsesa. Ejay, Val and Beauty were all excited, but Nan wasn’t able to appreciate the plane ride too much because of the blindfold. Ejay and Val were brought down first, and they had to walk around blindfolded around the area. Minutes later, Beauty and Nan arrived as well, and the four had to find each other first before taking off their blindfolds. It was probably fortunate that Beauty was there, as her loud voice made the reunion easy enough.

Next, they each had to catch 3 talangkas each in exchange for the map which would lead them to supplies and the PBB house. They enjoyed the novelty of this a lot that they collected an extra 2 talangkas on top of the required 12. Map in hand, they followed the trail to the marked spots. “X marks the spot” indeed, as they picked up supplies such as bananas, rope, water, rice and vinegar. In time, they reached the Big Brother Adventure House where they see a “love letter” from Kuya, inviting them into the Confession Room.

Yet the tasks are far from over. Kuya was waiting for them at the Confession Room, which was up the tree. To get to it, one of them – in this case, Ejay (plus his toes) – had to climb the rope and allow the others to use the stairs. After a few reminders from Kuya, they next had to look for painted coconuts around the house and dig. Six feet under were bundles of extra essentials like clothes, mats, etc. Despite some trouble with the local monkeys and broken eggs, all went well as they shared a kawayan-cooked chicken dinner (thanks to the native chicken caught in Ejay’s trap) and went to bed. Unknown to them, they were under constant supervision, and they were about to steal Val away. Something to watch out for on tomorrow’s Uber and Primetime Bida are more

What of the remaining housemates? Robi, Rona, Alex, Nikki and Mikan were all puzzled to wake up and realize that they were losing four of their number. Alex vaguely remembered bags by the door and could recall snippets of the early morning covert operation. All had speculations that were quite near to the truth: they were on a jungle or beach. Nikki’s avid watching of the previous PBB seasons peeked through as she stated that “Sometimes they really do that.” With nothing to do, the girls decided to play with make-up and experiment with them on the boys. Only Mikan could be persuaded to do so, as the other two did all means necessary to avoid this. Even if they were left alone, they still had tasks to fulfill. To help them with these, Kuya Primo, a Batac of the Tagbanua Tribe, was invited into the house. They had a game of supok or sumpit, where they had to use the blowpipe to pop the balloons. In return, they got a clue pertaining to where the rest were. In the meantime, Robi toured Kuya Primo around the house, since he was going to stay a while.

Dagdag Dalag on Uber!

May 20, 2008 8:08 PM

On Uber today the teens are divided into two teams. Alex is partnered with Nicole while Robi is with Rona. One of the players has to be blindfolded and the other would be the coach. Each team had to get two dalags in a mud-filled arena in order to win a prize. Two seem to be a small number but the tricky thing about the game is the chasing and catching of the slimy fish.

Alex and Nicole were the first team to do the capturing. The Italian Valentino chased the fish while Nicole kept her poise as his coach. Alex totally freaked with the fish slipping out of his reach. When Robi and Rona had their turn, the Positive Girl coached her blindfolded partner tirelessly and even attempted to catch the fish for him. Which among the two teams would win this slippery challenge?

Also on Uber, ex-teen housemate Priscilla gave her point of view on issues surrounding her and the other housemates. She once again said that she was just being true to herself. The Deaf Dreamer also explained that her conflict with Rona was like any ordinary misunderstanding between best friends. When asked about her love life, she sums it up in one word: complicated. Pris also thanked her family and fans for their support and for believing in her. She especially thanked her beloved mother for being protective of her.

Meanwhile, the five remaining housemates inside the house missed the other teens and wondered where they could be. Little did they know, the four are having a blast in their Big island adventure. They had to fulfill tasks such as catching a talangka, exploring the island, and climbing a tree. However the four are confronted with a situation that wasn’t taught during their military training. Monkeys stole their meager food supply and were left with none. How will the four solve this problem?

If the four had an Island Adventure in Palawan, the housemates left also had a back-to-basics lesson from Kuya Primo. The house guest, who was also a chief of the Tagbanuas, lectured the teens on the native way of life. As part of their weekly task, he taught the teens how to make beaded necklaces, similar to the ones they make in his tribe. At the end of the week, they would have to produce 1,000 pieces. This merchandise would then be sold at the TeenDahan ni Kuya and the profit would benefit the City Tribal Foundation. Will the teens reach their 1,000 bracelet quota in time? See the first day of Ejay, Valerie, Nan and Beauty in Palawan on Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus later on primetime!

No more water!

The beadwork continues

Nung nakaraang linggo, surviving in the jungle ang theme kaya naman malakas kutob niya na somewhere in a deserted island sila Beauty, Ejay, Nan at Valerie.

Jungle adventure continues at home

May 20, 2008 3:13 PM

While Beauty, Valerie, Nan and Ejay are coursing their way through the big island adventure, the other five are struggling as well with the jungle feel of Kuya’s tasks. The teens picked up their daily supplies from the storage room and were shocked at the sight of the wriggling eels. Other supplies were a bolo, chickens, bamboo, coal and banana leaves. It seems like the teens wouldn’t be having a normal lunch today.

Primo, the housemate’s guest, taught the teens how to make fire using their supplies. Armed with wood and coal, Robi and Alex went to work and started their very own fire. The teens’ skills on catching a chicken were also put to use as they made a trap and baited it successfully. Kuya Primo assisted the teens by making tribal sounds to call the chickens. The huge obstacle for the housemates, however, were the eels since they could barely hold it. Thanks to Kuya Primo, the teens’ were taught on how to go about the difficult task.

To add to this “back to basics” activity, the teens’ water supply was cut off. For the whole day they would only have to use one drum of water. Mikan was quite disappointed since he planned on doing the laundry today. Robi, on the other hand, worried about the inconvenience of doing their toilet activities. Aside from this water shortage, the teens would also have to deal with the 10 minute shower time rule. Though divided in two sets, the housemates are united in executing the skills they acquired the previous week. How will the teens manage with these tasks? Check out the PBB Multiply Site for updates on this story and watch Uber to see Beauty, Nan, Valerie and Ejay’s first day in Palawan!

Hard facts on the 7th

May 19, 2008 10:47 PM

By nature, Filipinos are tender-hearted and non-confrontational. Yet, accountability is an important value to learn and truly a tough one to live by. Standing by one’s decisions is a sign of adulthood, and this is something that Kuya faces the teens with in this week’s nomination. For the past nominations, the teens could freely give points to their housemates in the secrecy of the Confession Room. For the seventh nomination night, the gravity of their decisions is forced on them as they are required to personally hang the medallions of votes on their nominees.

When Kuya announced this twist, all were speechless, their minds probably doing a sudden flashback to their votes. They already gave their nominees earlier in the usual way, but Kuya surprised them with this second round. No room for second thoughts, though: the rule was for them to stick to their first decision. The teens were blindfolded and Mariel tapped the housemate whose turn it was to hang the medallions. Though they didn’t see the ones who nominated them, the tension that came with the hanging of medallions was akin to hanging their co-housemate on a guillotine, if Alex’s tears (considering he didn’t get a single vote) were to be the basis.

The lone House Player finally succeeded in his task. Mikan was tasked to be close to the Positive Girl, and to prove it, she had to hug him after he opens up to her. With Rona’s open nature, Mikan wasn’t disappointed. Nikki even teased the two as she announced the new love team in the house: RoKan. Mikan unsuspectedly followed up this claim as he tells Big Bro that Rona has a certain appeal that shines through her good nature. True beauty, as they say, lies within. His next task was to serve the Dazzling Doll, and in turn, have her perform some sort of service and thank him. Val just wondered about Big Love’s actions, though, and continued sharing sweet nothings and exchanging hugs with the Promdi Hottie. Was he able to pass the next task, or was his task with Rona just a tad too easy?

Rona (with 7 points) and Robi (with 5 points) are this week’s nominees. The polls are now open, so get a head start on saving the housemate of your choice. The fate of RoRo is in your hands. Vote online or text BB (name of housemate) and send it to 2331 (for Globe, Sun and TM subscribers) or 231 for (Smart and Talk N Text subscribers). Kuyanatics in UAE may also now vote by texting BB (name of housemate) and sending it to 4200 (for Etisalat subscribers).

The teens finally find something to do

May 19, 2008 7:04 PM

The teens were pleasantly surprised with the entrance of sumpit expert, Kuya Primo. The man, who was wearing his native tribal costume, was instructed by Kuya to teach the housemates how to use the supok or sumpit for this afternoon’s Uber game. The housemates were very happy for finally they have something to do. Kuya Primo also told them about the use of the supok in his tribe, the Batak people of Palawan. He told them that while it’s regarded as a toy by some, sumpit experts in their group still use it to catch birds and small animals. He also explained the other uses of the native things he bought with him. Soon, the housemates were told to line up and start ‘shooting’ at the target.

When it was time for the game proper, the housemates went to the activity are with Kuya Primo. Upon the buzzer sound, each housemate must try to shoot at a cluster of balloons on a board a few feet away. The teen who manages to burst the most balloons will receive a reward. First housemate to try it was Robi, and the Atenean popped balloons till the buzzer sounded again, signaling the end of his turn. Next was Nikki and she was quite a sumpit shooter, popping balloons one after the other. Alex, Rona and Mikan have to take their turns yet. Would they be able to top Robi and Nicole’s scores?

Super last na!, Beauty Oh!, Missing Priscilla...

Sabi tuloy ni Alex "I don't want! I'm gonna kiss you!" at sabay lapit ng mukha ke Nicole.

Kuya! We’re bored!!!!

May 19, 2008 3:53 PM

Where oh where can Beauty, Valerie, Nan and Ejay be? Rona, Nicole, Robi, Alex and Mikan woke up to a pretty silent house this morning. Kuya seems to be busy too and the housemates left inside the house have nothing to do. Rona expected that their weekly task would be given late this afternoon but up to now, Kuya had no instructions for them. The only thing they heard over the speakers for a few seconds were lines from the song You’re So Vain by Carly Simon.

After playing a few rounds of their favorite Uno card game, the teens became quite restless. They probably got used to a last week’s busy schedule, thanks to their survival training. Rona tried to coax the others from sleeping by bringing out the giant PBB deck of cards to play 1-2-3 Pass but the others were not in the mood for another card game. Nicole even shouted “Kuya! Super bored!”, encouraging Rona and Mikan to do the same. Mikan even tried screaming for “Ate!” just in case Kuya was really out.

The two girls suddenly had an idea to give the boys a “make over”. “Dali Mikan, make-apan ka namin,” Rona said enthusiastically. Robi was quick to decline their offer, saying “Sawa na ako make-apan. Lagi na lang ako biktima!” and retreated to the garden with Alex to hide from the girls. Mikan had no choice but to succumb to Nicole and Rona’s wishes. He sat down obediently in the living room and the girls excitedly took out their make-up brushes and eye color palettes. “Ang lambot ng face mo,” Nikki commented while putting foundation on Mikan’s face.

After a few minutes, the Kabataang Pinoy theme suddenly played on the speakers. Alex and Robi joined the three in the dancing but gave a laugh upon seeing Mikan’s new look. The song ended and the girls quickly said “Who’s next?”. Alex and Robi once again made a beehive to the garden.

Where can the four housemates be? Are they off with Kuya to some secret task? Keep it here for more updates and watch Uber at 5:30 PM later with Mariel Rodriguez

Guardians’ Big Night!

May 18, 2008 10:06 PM

This was an eventful week, with both guardians and teens working side by side, making the most of the meager time left together. They took part in being of service as they packed 100 bags of school stuff for 100 underprivileged kids in Cagayan Valley. They were also given the opportunity to party the night away, showcasing their talents and proving their prowess in song and dance. They also slow danced with their guardians, though Ejay and Val managed to have a special moment to them. It was during this week, too, that Beauty made the hard decision to swap Mommy Carina’s spot in the Guardians’ Big Four in favor of Mommy Sandy. Her mom was proud of her selfless reasons, and Nikki was likewise overwhelmed. So moved was she that she also wished to give Beauty something special in return – a 100-second phone call with her dad – and willingly took on being a mirror image of those who sat before her. Beauty was again in tears when she finally got to talk with her dad, and Nikki felt a great sense of fulfillment with doing something for another. Minutes before going live, the teens offer a special song for the guardians and each teen gave a thank you speech. This had the guardians crying until Kuya played the PBB theme song and all joined in the energetic dance number.

After Mommy Carina’s exit and Priscilla’s eviction, it is time for a big celebration as all welcome the Guardians’ Big Four in the outside world. Daddy Erning, Mommy Minda, Mommy Sandy and Mommy My Love represent all the parents and guardians who selflessly and whole-heartedly journey with their children. They carry with them the responsibility of guiding them, despite and in spite of hardships, clashes and personal differences. Truly, they deserve every applause and cheer that awaits them. For this momentous occasion, even the ex-housemates and guardians are back and ready to join in the welcome.

The Guardian 4th Big Placer, with 4.64% of votes, was Mommy My Love. Pretty in her blue dress, she was escorted by Kevin onto the stage. Mommy My Love received a check for P100,000 and a business franchise from Potato Cuddler. Following her at third place, with 13.98% of votes, was Mommy Sandy. The teens teased Nikki that her mom was sexier in her red satiny outfit, and she left the house on the arm of Jolas. Mommy Sandy received a check for P150,000 and a business franchise from Potato Cuddler The second place spot was claimed by Mommy Minda, who got 16.22% of the votes. She was gorgeous though teary-eyed in her new hairdo and escorted by Josef. She received a check for P250,000 and a business franchise from Whammy Waffle. And finally, the title of Guardian Big Winner was honored to Daddy Erning, who claimed 65.16% of the votes and yet couldn’t get over the shock of it all just yet. He was welcomed by Mariel and Bianca, and was given a standing ovation by those outside. He received a check for P500,000 and a business franchise from Whammy Waffle.

nticipating the outside world

May 18, 2008 3:52 PM

The girls excitedly chitchatted on their plans upon leaving the house. With barely a month before the Big Night, the teens are very much anticipating the real world. Rona plans to reflect first then she would see to her responsibilities and start working. When she goes back to Dumaguete she would settle the college requirements for SillimanUniversity.

Beauty on the other hand dwelt on sentimental matters. She would first tinker with her cell phone and then talk to her father and older brother. She also has dreams to be in show business and make appearances in The Buzz and Asap. Valerie was more concerned with her education and wanted to study in Ateneo.

The conversation was cut short when Kuya told them to quickly shower and prepare themselves for later. Everyone was excited with the awaited Guardian Big Night. Beauty asked Daddy Erning if he was thrilled with the event to which he answered that he was. In preparation for later, the Promdie Hottie invited his father to practice for the talent showdown.

Meanwhile, the girls are nostalgic with the memories Priscilla left in the house. Beauty misses her as well as Rona. Nicole stressed that the Differently-Abled Teen was especially skilled in hairdressing. They would miss how Priscilla took care of them and made sure they were all pretty and primped before the live show. The girls seem to be close with each other and it would be difficult for them to nominate their friends for eviction. Who would be the new set of nominees? And how did the teens justify their nominees? Find out on Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus!

Priscilla returns to the outside world

May 17, 2008 10:44 PM

With the Big Island Adventure looming just ahead, Kuya prepares the teens through this week’s task. Under the supervision of officers from the Philippine Air Force (PAF), the housemate went through a rigorous military survival training which they brilliantly passed with flying colors last Friday. The teens received a total of 176 merits, 76 points more than Kuya’s expected score. The PAF officers commended everyone saying that they have exerted a lot of effort and have shown maturity all through out the course. After hearing those kind words from the strict teachers, the housemates enveloped them in a group hug. Kuya also awarded the teens their full weekly budget.

Before getting to eviction business, Beauty and the rest of the gang had to say good-bye to Mommy Carina. Although it pained Beauty to sacrifice her own mom from the Guardian Big Four, the young woman knew this was the right thing to do. Mommy Carina gave everyone a tight embrace before bidding her daughter farewell. Although teary eyed, she told hosts Luis Manzano and Bianca Gonzales that she’s crying not because she’s sad. In fact she is very happy and proud of Beauty for she has never seen this side of her daughter before.

Luis then got the housemates ready for the announcement of the evictee for the week. Nicole was the first girl called into the safe zone and there was an obvious look of surprise on her face. Beauty was expecting to follow her mom out of the house tonight, but it was Priscilla who got the boot, garnering only 11.51% of the votes. Priscilla also hugged all the remaining housemates and wished everyone well. She was then welcomed back to the real world by her mom, Jinky.

The Deaf Dreamer was actually all smiles when she saw the crowd outside Kuya’s house. When asked by Luis how she feels at the moment, Pris was very positive about everything. "Ok lang, para sa ‘kin masaya pa rin ako. Kasi kahit paano na nagawa ko pa rin yung dream ko. This is a very big impact for me, to be in this house. Kahit pa kung ako ang naging first evictee, I’m very happy." The young lady also apologized to her mom for being a "bad girl" inside the house. She knows that everything is God’s will and that He has plans for her.

Despite it being a rainy night, the winners of Sikat sa Haircut unveiled their own billboard outside the yellow house. From several entries across the country, Kuya, the male teen housemates and guardians chose who deserved to win the P50,000 cash prize. After some deliberation the men picked the kids of Batang Moreno ng Laguna as the grand prize winners. Their check was presented on stage by ex-teen housemate Josef and guardian Daddy John.

Practical exam day

May 16, 2008 7:31 PM

It’s the day of the teens’ military practical exam and everyone’s nervous about it. With already an outstanding 133 merits, the housemates hope that they pass their weekly task without a glitch. Their skills in raft making were tested by Air Force officers first. Everyone remembered the various knots that were taught to them and they were awarded 10 merits. The next exam was to rescue a drowning victim. Ejay and Robi used the skills they learned just this morning and were able to rescue the mannequin within the three-minute deadline. Rona, Nan and Nicole on the other hand showed-off their floating techniques and were done with the job in just a few seconds. Will they be able to ace the remaining parts of their exam?

Despite the busy week, Valerie and Ejay seem to be able to patch things up with one another. The two had another bout of tampuhan with the same issue of Ejay refusing to reveal his thoughts to the Dazzling Doll. To ease the tension a bit, Valerie gave Ejay a shirt as a remembrance of their friendship, pleasing the hottie from Mindoro. He later revealed to Kuya that all he was to feel special and important to Valerie as she is to him.

Meanwhile, out of his four tasks, Mikan was only able to accomplish one. In today’s poll, the voter’s decided that Valerie would be the housemate that the house player would be serving. Could he pull it off this time? See how Mikan executed his winning task later on Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus on Primetime!

The teens learn about snorkeling and sea survival

May 16, 2008 6:08 PM

If the previous training days were devoted to land survival, today’s lessons were all about surviving in water. First up were skin diving and snorkeling. The teens have to know how to flutter kick by the end of the day. Ejay, Nan and Robi were the first to demonstrate this with the young man from Davao having problems with his knee bending. Ejay also seemed to be executing the technique wrong and got easily tired. Robi was the only housemate acknowledged by the officers who executed the move the right way.

The girls had the most difficulty in the water activity. Nicole dived in a certain part of the pool and hit her head on a bamboo pole when she emerged from the water. Priscilla was also given special attention since she’s scared to dive. An AF officer assisted the Deaf Dreamer since she seemed to panic whenever she goes underwater.

The teens were then taught how to perform underwater rescue. Everyone enjoyed the activity and was able to accomplish the task smoothly. They were also taught the floater technique where they can use their pants as a floating device. After blowing air into their pants, these were then tied together and hung around their necks. The teens could now safely swim to shore with no worries on sinking.

The teens spent most of the day accomplishing these tasks but Nicole had yet another lined up for her. When the In-Chick from Cebu came out from the confession room, she instantly mimicked anyone she came across with. A wooden frame was placed in the living room to serve as some sort of prop for Nicole’s mirror task. Is a sacrifice or punishment for Nicole? Find out her story and if the teens will succeed in their weekly task later on Uber!

More Robi and Mikan trivia!
May 16, '08 4:48 AM

Sosyal!

Special mission for the kids!
May 16, '08 4:29 AM

Sacrifice or task?
May 16, '08 2:36 AM

Yihee!

Time to Eat!
May 15, '08 3:42 AM

Teens learn the map
May 14, '08 10:42 PM

Madali lang daw housemates go guys!

Hard Decisions

May 16, 2008 1:16 AM

It’s the third day of the housemates under military discipline. From having an inverted meal to rappelling to catching and cooking frogs for lunch, the teens trudged through. With their game faces on, the teens gamely overcame their fears. It was only with the last task that some faltered. Unlike Val who was extremely enthusiastic at the chase, some weren’t as keen. Beauty, Nikki, Mikan, Nan and Ejay all were terrified of frogs, but the officers pushed them to do it. Like the gritty teens they were, they passed with flying colors.

The boys also performed a froggy rap, led by Ejay (who felt faint at the meal), in commemoration of their froggy meal that they had to personally catch. This was done after a frog-eating game, won by Mikan, that earned them another 5 merits. Only 5 more to go and they would have successfully achieved the 100-merit mark. The first PBB Mud wrestling was also held. Robi “Kilabot” Domingo won the first round versus Nan. Alex “Vava-voom” Anselmuccio was victorious against Ejay. Between the two, Vava-voom went on to wrestle Mikan “Baby Phat” Ong in the championship round, and was declared the winner!

During formation, the officers saw Andi crying yet again. It was quite distracting, so they gave her time to settle down and rest. When she went into the Confession Room, Andi was packed and ready to go. She thanked Kuya for the lessons learned, but was already decided in leaving the house. Andi felt she was emotionally unprepared for the way of life in Kuya’s house: being without her mom, not having freedom to move and see other people. It’s a done deal: another House Player is out.

As a teen exits, so will another guardian. The Final Teen Council – composed of Robi, Rona, Val and Pris – were called individually to decide who among the guardians will be evicted. 3 out of 4 chose Mommy Sandy, and though it was difficult, Nikki accepted it fully. However, Beauty was granted the power to change things. As it is said, “With great power comes great responsibility.” She took time to talk to the teens individually, and in the end, decided to exchange her mom for the survival of Tita Sandy. She felt that Tita Sandy needed it more, and that she has now come to the realization that not everything can be bought by money. This was a big step from someone who used to be quite materialistic and was the little princess. Nikki was overwhelmed by the gesture and the others were all praises for Beauty.

Sisid Seashells, Mommy Minda: Guardian of the Night

May 15, 2008 7:24 PM

The teens are divided into three teams on Uber today. Team A is composed of Mikan, Nan and Rona, Team B by Valerie, Ejay and Nicole and Team C included Beauty, Alex and Robi. Kuya would give out a question about a housemate and Priscilla would have to pick a seashell in a fishbowl with a letter on it. A representative of each team would dive for the sea shell with the matching letter and whoever swims to shore first would get to answer the question.

Questions ranged from who’s taking up what course in college, who’s crushing on whom to who eats rice the most. House player Mikan stepped up his game plan and swam for the seashells eager to answer Kuya’s questions. The teens got giggly when Mikan answered Kuya’s question of whom he was crushing on among the housemates. The house player bravely answered that it was Beauty whom he liked. Though Mikan tried to impress the Rebellious Girl with his diving skills, Ejay’s group swam the fastest and emerged victorious.

Meanwhile, Mommy Minda is awarded Guardian of the Night during a fashion show and she gets to cook lasagna and play games with Alex inside a special room as her prize. Alex enjoyed his mom’s yummy cooking and also taught his mom on how to play games on the Play Station. While the two enjoyed inside Kuya’s reward room, the housemates were also having a blast with the girls’ mini-concert. Armed with sandoks, the girls sang their hearts out to Avril Lavigne songs.

Although Mikan’s success in his previous task yet remains to be seen, he has a new mission lined up this afternoon. He has to open up and get close with housemate Rona, who got the highest votes in today’s poll. Will Mikan conquer this task? Check out this story and more of the teens’ boot camp activities later on Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus on primetime

Mikan accomplishes his task but Alex is out to get him, Ejay penalized...

May 15, 2008 4:22 PM

For the fourth time this week, the Air Force troop marched into the house to continue with the housemates’ military training. They noticed Alex’s multi-colored nails and reprimanded him about it. Alex, who was completely clueless about his painted nails, received several rounds of frog walking as punishment. Afterwards, he was ordered to remove the nail polish in 10 counts and the Italian Valentino scrubbed it in haste.

The drill officer was still in utter disbelief that Alex slept like a log and didn’t feel someone painting his nails. Ejay, who slept in the bed next to Alex’s, was then interrogated and the Promdie Hottie vehemently denied any involvement with nail painting. The officer then gave Alex an assignment to find out who between his “bed neighbors” Robi and Ejay committed the offense. Alex, on the other hand, has a strong suspicion that Mikan is responsible for the deed. Will he blow the house player’s cover?

Besides being under suspicion of being a ‘manikurista’, Ejay was also penalized by the drill officer for wearing an earring in the line-up. The housemate then diligently did his punishment of jumping jacks and even actively participated in today’s lecture about reading maps and navigation. The teens learned about the different kinds of maps the military used. By memorizing the color codes, the teens will be able to easily navigate in their destination. Brown lines signify the mountains while the blue lines indicate a body of water. Black lines are for man made structures and green lines imply vegetation. The officers reminded everyone to take care of their maps since it’s colors fade out quickly and would disorient them should this happen.

Confused Cupid - Mikan settled at ease

May 15, 2008 5:48 AM

Ejay and Valerie went aside to have a serious talk. Valerie was quite disappointed with Ejay’s conflicting statements, with other people and most especially, regarding his feelings towards her. She told Ejay that she was having a difficult time believing him, especially if he keeps on changing his mind. If Ejay could change his mind quickly about others, what more with her? Val asked Ejay if he believed in her, as she felt that he was still questioning her moves and statements, and Val was already getting frustrated. Good thing she got to unwind with Rona’s supposed hot seat show!

Mikan settled into the house and the teens with ease. After taking off his mask and introducing himself (He earlier introduced himself with, “Hi, I’m Shy”), the teens hugged him and welcomed him. Of course, the fact taht he prepared ahearty breakfast for them may also have played a part. Rona even helped him fix up, while Mikan shared part of his childhood. Mikan admitted that he had a crush on Beauty, yet later, as he was sitting with Rona, the Positive Girl teased him to Valerie. Is Cupid playing musical careers with the tandems? Rona claimed it was now Ejay-Nikki and Mikan-Val. Will Mikan and Andy be able to step up and seriously fill Shy’s shoes at being House Players?

Boot camp continues - Mikan, Mr. Big Love

May 15, 2008 5:39 AM

Mikan, Mr. Big Love from Olongapo, is the newest addition to the house. He took the place of ex-House Player, Shy – or did he? The first task of the House Players this week was to be clumsy with Robi. Since Andy was unable to get a move on it, Kuya gave her (ang Mikan) specific tasks to complete: spit water in Rob’s face, spill coffee down his back, and step on his big toe. Though they were almost able to accomplish their tasks, Kuya declared them non-winners. They failed to make an impression on Robi, aside from making him feel that there truly were secret tasks at hand. Both Andy and Mikon were saddened but admitted that they were unable to grab the correct opportunities. Indeed, Shy set the bar high enough to keep the other two continually on their toes. Andy was so homesick already, though only a few days in Kuya’s house. She was sad and missed her mom terribly, especially when she sees the guardians. She saw the kind of freedom PBB offers, which was unlike the familiar. She was also feeling the pressure brought about by coming in late, long after the others have bonded.

Speaking of pressure, all housemates scrambled about trying to get ready for the military exercises. All seemed well as their officers were happy with their improvements and granted them 26 merits and only 5 demerits. With a total of 60 merits, will the teens use their skills wisely to reach the 100 merit-mark? After physical training, Survival Skills were taught: knots, making a balsa or raft, chopping a coconut properly, and cooking. They tasted the fruits of their labor afterwards, as they shared a meal and became human motors to the floating raft.

Priscilla, on the other hand, was definitely less enthusiastic than they are. The rigid training was talking too much to handle, and Capt. Bernabe had to talk to her several times (with Beauty as an interpreter). She was reminded that she was not different from the rest, so it would be unfair to exempt her. This irritated Priscilla, because Val and Beauty were excused for health reasons. The Captain reminded them that they are there for a reason, not to pull the teens down. All were tired, but they kept on going. No less was expected from her.

The teens and the guardians had another tandem task: dance revo! However, after exercising their aching muscles to the tune of hip songs, they had more work ahead of them. They got back from the task to a ransacked house (c/o ex-housemate Bianca G), and were only given exactly 30 minutes to put the house back in order. Ejay stepped up to delegate, and though most of the house was back in shape, all were sure of demerits from their officers.

Palakasan sa Putikan - Shy on Uber

May 14, 2008 8:29 PM

After three days of intense military training, the boys feel they are fit for today’s challenge on Uber. Kuya has ordered the boys to compete in Palakasan sa Putikan, a mud wrestling match. The housemate who gets thrown out of the muddy ring five times will be declared the loser of the round and the winning teen would move on to the finals to beat heavy weight "Baby Fat" Mikan. The first teens to compete were Robi a.k.a "Kilabot" and Nan a.k.a. "Bato". The two struggled in the muddy pit while the girls pumped their fists in the air and cheered their bets on. Luis Manzano, stationed at the Uber studio commented on the combat game and placed his bet on Nan. However, the "Kilabot" proved too much for "Bato" and defeated him quickly.

Kuyanatics in UAE may also now vote by texting BB (name of housemate) and sending it to 4200 (for Etisalat subscribers).

The next fighters were Ejay "Barako" and Alex "Vavavoom". The two looked like an equal match, both being tall and of the same weight but Alex beat Ejay with no difficulty at all. Alex then faced Robi in the semi-final round and defeated the Atenean effortlessly. Will Alex be able to win easily over a big and tough opponent like "Baby Fat" Mikan?

Meanwhile, Shy was interviewed live on Uber today. According to the first house player ng bayan, she wasn’t having much fun inside Kuya’s house anymore and therefore decided to leave. She also revealed that out of all the housemates, she was most at ease with Rona and at odds with Priscilla. The teen house player also said that Robi, Rona, Valerie and Alex deserve to be part in Big Four.

If House Player Shy pulled off her special tasks, Second House Player Andi seem to have trouble doing hers. She connived with Mikan in order to successfully push through with her "clumsy on Robi" task. She said that Mikan would be in charge of stepping on his big toe while it was up to her to "accidentally" spill coffee on his back. Will the two measure up to Shy’s success in the previous week? It was noticeable that Andi was absent in the wrestling match. She has been gone for most of the day until now. Does this mean that the second house player already surrendered on her assignment and decided to exit like Shy? Find out the answers to these later on Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus on Primetime!

Facing fears!

May 14, 2008 2:44 PM

The teens started off the day with a team breakfast and everything was done in military style. The food was portioned and the eating was timed. And to add to their growing indigestion was the way they had to eat their food – with a ruler straight back and with the food to be brought to their mouth. To emphasize teamwork, they had to share a cup of water, and they had to eat the leftovers of their teammate so as not to waste food.

The teens were then given a brief lecture on rappelling. Besides Robi and Nicole, nobody else had experienced it and all listened intently. The officers differentiated the kinds of rappelling. One of which is the run down, similar to that of a spider. And the other is the standard, which Robi and Nicole had tried out and would be experienced by the rest. The officers also warned them on rope burns, but besides that, they had nothing to fear. One crucial advice for the teens was to trust and give their confidence to the rope.

Everyone was psyched with the activity. The buddy system would be used and the teens paired up. First up the wall was True Blue Atenista Robi. He seemed to enjoy it much that as soon as he got down, he wanted to have another go at it again. The lecture appeared easy for the teens, but as soon as they were up, all buckled with the activity. They fumbled and struggled with the rope and the officers constantly reminded them to trust the ropes and hold on to it.

After this grueling task, the teens were incredibly famished. Despite this, they had no choice and still had to catch their lunch. They were first taught how to improvise on a fishing rod using a kawayan and then attach the bait on the hook. However they weren’t going to catch fish for their lunch. The officers tipped over a basket and released live frogs. The creatures wildly hopped and the teens frantically ran the other way. Everyone was totally terrified with the green creatures except for Valerie and Rona who enjoyed running after them. To boost up the teens, the officers announced that the first to accomplish adobong palaka would get five merits. All stepped up their game except for Beauty and Nicole. The officers firmly called everyone into a straight line and forcefully had them hold a frog each. Nicole avoided the equally scared frog like the plague while Beauty sobbed loudly in a corner. The two eventually got over it thanks to Rona and Valerie who convinced them that the frogs were harmless.

Everyone then cooked with much precision and dogged determination to earn the merits. Who among them will weasel out merits from the hard-to-please officers? Meanwhile, house player Andi had gone missing since this morning. Did she surrender to the pressure and followed Shy’s footsteps? Shy falls out of the ranks

May 13, 2008 10:53 PM

The teens were startled into waking up with an ear-splitting reveille, signifying the beginning of their military exercises. The 505th Search and Rescue Squad of the Philippine Air Force led by Capt. Cecilia Bernabe were invited in the house to help prep the teens for their upcoming big island adventure. Teamwork, camaraderie and discipline, among other important values, will be taught to them. There was no room for a wimpy attitude, and the officers soon put a stop to over-sensitive aches and pains. Neither was there space for smart-alecky remarks, not even Shy’s arrogant snubbing of the officer’s authority. During the physical training, Nikki complained that she had trouble breathing. After a quick assessment, the officers dismissed her complaints and she had to go on. Andy hyperventilated and her muscles froze, prodding the officers to carry her off to a side and help her regain sensation in her numbing extremities. Alex was made to repeat saying “Sir, yes, Sir!” until he said it firmly enough. After, the teens broke into three teams to clean the house. Part of the survival skills were time management and cooking using available resources. The teens learned how to start a fire and cook their own simple food. Of course, they had to keep neat appearances, and one way of ensuring this was by having their boots well-shined. They also had to move quickly, and even their baths were done in double-time.

The Captain told Priscilla off for being lax. She was expected to cope, and no one was about to baby her. Too tired, Priscilla wanted out, not only of the military exercises, but of the PBB experience altogether. She approached Kuya to grant her exemption from physical activities, but Kuya reminded her that she cannot choose which tasks she wanted to participate in while the other housemates were working hard at it. Andy, too, was affected to the point of crying. She figured it was due to her still adjusting to the new environment, then the shock of rigid tasks.
The original House Player, Shy, chose to fall out of ranks. Kuya called her in the Confession Room to call her attention to her lack of respect for authority. Shy explained that she wanted out. Kuya urged her to see things through, explaining that it has only been a week and she needed to fully experience being inn the house. Shy was adamant: she wasn’t enjoying anymore and wanted to be in familiar surroundings with familiar people. In the end, Kuya accepts her voluntary exit and the rest of the housemates weren’t able to see her again.

Mican Ong, the new House Player ng Bayan, entered the house early this morning. His first task was to be seen preparing breakfast for them. He was one of the 30 teens, known only as My Big Love, who was given the key but didn’t make the final cut. Still, destiny led him inside. It’s a good thing that Andy had someone to help her accomplish the tasks, especially since Kuya wasn’t particularly impressed with her execution of her first. To guide her, Kuya gave specific instructions on how to be clumsy with Robi: spill coffee on his back, throw a drink in his face and step on hid big toe. Next task would be to make Ejay (winning 31.77% of the votes) happy. Up for decision would be to decide which housemate will wake up to multi-colored nail polish. Will it be Rona, Priscilla, Val or Alex? It’s your call, Kapamilya! Make sure you stay glued to updates because this week is the guardians’ last week in the house. Daily tandem tasks will be given to make the most of it, which started with last night’s pageant, and their stay will be capped with the Guardians’ Big Night on Sunday.

Andy cries her heart out

May 13, 2008 10:58 PM

Mican, who replaced Shy, fit in smoothly with the housemates. It was Andy, the second House Player, who was having a difficult time coping with the demands of the PBB house. In fact, she has spent the last couple of days crying about this and that. She opened up to fellow House Player Mican that she felt sad whenever she sees the other teens with their guardians. She had never really appreciated her family’s presence, most especially her mom, and it was in being in the PBB house that she was hit with the realizations. Looking back at the past Mothers’ Day, the day she entered Kuya’s house, she realized that she abrely even talked to her mom. Mican played the elder brother and explained that there was a reason why each of them was put in the house. All of them, too, had the capacity to change and adapt. Andy still continued crying, and soon the other housemates were by her side. Will Andy follow Shy out of the house or choose to grow within Kuya’s house?

Meanwhile, Beauty was having difficulty walking after a day of vigorous training. Ejay committed a grave offense when he asked Mican if he saw the goings-on from outside. Will Kuya add him to the list of automatic nominees? Keep watching and checking updates on Uber and Primetime Bida, right after Lobo!

Buko and Alimango lunch
May 13, '08 2:02 AM

Sink or Swim?
May 13, '08 2:56 AM

Bonding with the new borders!
May 13, '08 4:59 AM

Agree ba kayo sa Robi-Andi and Mikan-Beauty?

Housemates welcome Mikan while keeping up with their training

May 13, 2008 5:56 PM

This morning, new house player Mikan Ong entered Kuya’s house and cooked breakfast for the teens. Wearing a mask similar to Shy’s, he diligently prepared a hearty meal before any of the housemates stirred from bed. When everyone was up, he then gathered them around and revealed his identity. Some recognized him as part of the 30 dreamers in the first cut of auditions. However, with “My Big Love’s” appearance the original house player Shy went missing.

For a second, the teens thought they were saved from back breaking training today because of their guest. But, as if on cue, the Philippine Air Force officers marched in, banged on their doors and started screaming orders. The housemates all quickly dressed and fell in line. At the blow of the whistle, the teens dropped to the ground and performed floor exercises. Everyone had difficulty performing the routine and had to repeat it over and over again. Even when they executed it perfectly, the officers “rewarded” them with five more repetitions.

Among the other teens, Priscilla had the hardest time coping with the harshness of the officers and the difficulty of the drills. She complained of her sore muscles and aching body so Chief Commanding Officer Capt. Cecilia Bernabe advised her that the mind is superior and it should be placed over matter, over body and heart. She also added that the Differently-Abled Teen is only hearing impaired and her body is in full working good condition. But Priscilla also insisted that she’s affected by all the shouting. Capt. Bernabe explained that what they are doing are their jobs and they’ve got nothing personal against the teens.

Daily drills and rigorous work-outs aren’t the only things the teens have to do this week. The housemates were also expected to keep the house spic and span. Under the watchful eyes of the officers, the teens washed the dishes and swept the floor. Anyone caught not doing anything will be penalized with push-ups. After the chores, the teens were then taught how to tie different knots like the square kno and over-hand loop, which are crucial for survival training.

Is Mikan a replacement of the first house player? How would he challenge the housemate’s character? Will the teens be able to handle the pressure of training and bring with them the essentials of survival for their Island Adventure? Be updated on the teens’ activities by logging on to the PBB Multiply Site. Also get more details of Mikan’s entrance later on Uber!

For love of Moms & PBB Guardian of the Night

May 13, 2008 5:51 AM

For Mothers’ Day, the teens that still had their moms in the house – Alex, Beauty, Nikki and Nan – were up bright and early in time to wake their moms with breakfast in bed, a bouquet of flowers and a card. No eyes were left dry as their mothers read the letters their kids wrote them. The teens thanked their moms for opportunities given, sacrifices made, overflowing support, love and TLC. If the other three were used to their kids’ sweetness, Mommy Sandy’s surprise was evident at Nikki’s gesture. She was beaming as Nikki read her letter that opened doors for a renewed relationship between mother and daughter, a huge leap from their earlier interactions. As she later shared with Kuya, this was the first time Nikki truly opened up to her.

More surprises were in store for the moms, though. Kuya granted each teen a request, a gift for their moms. Alex approached Mommy Minda with a single red rose and sang her an OPM song. Mommy Sandy got 100 seconds with her youngest child, Zack. Beauty and Mommy Carina were tearfully grateful to have heard her dad’s voice as he delivered a testimony to Mommy Carina’s motherhood. Nan got Mommy My Love a visit from hubby Daddy Arnel. Despite the sad news that he’ll soon be off to sea, Mommy My Love had Nan crying as she assured him of her happiness at his efforts.

Meanwhile, something’s quite off with the lovebirds. Insecurity hit Ejay once again, and though Val urged him to be patient, he was already entertaining the thought of stopping his courtship of the Dazzling Doll. Best bud Nan advises him to enjoy things and not rush. Still in an emotional state, he tells Val that he felt she did not appreciate his efforts. As Aga’s character in the movie “When Love Begins” said, “Sometimes, I feel that you don’t care for me.” This had Valerie crying in frustration, because all the while she thought that Ejay understood her appreciation and interpreted her tears of joy correctly. Eventually, he shared his earlier thought of stopping his courtship, but decided that he couldn’t: he has to follow his heart. With a smile, Val agreed.

House Player Shy seemed to have managed to rock the boat of the Beauty-Alex tandem. Lately, Shy and Alex had been sharing tender moments, and though this was not unnatural for the Italian Valentino, Beauty couldn’t help but feel affected and betrayed. Alex noticed this immediately and set about trying to make amends, starting with wearing Beauty’s jacket, to no avail. He upped the ante by asking Kuya’s help to appease her, and to the melody of “If We Fall In Love”, Alex charms Beauty into a dance that rewarded him with their renewed bond.

House Player Andy has started on her task to be clumsy towards Robi, who was chosen by the people, with more than 50% of the text votes. For the next task, you get to choose who among these four housemates get to be made happy by the house players:a. Priscilla, b.Val, c. Alex ,and d. Ejay. Just text BBPOLL to 2366 for Globe, TM and Sun or 231 for Smart and Talk & Text subscribers.

May 13, 2008 5:54 AM

After spit-shining and heating their military boots, the teens went on to more fun things. It was such a rainy day and the weather was perfect for a cozy get-together. Kuya had both households merge and have a pageant: the search for the PBB Guardian of the Night.

The guardians got their outfits out and their kids served as their stylists and make-up artists. Daddy Erning was quite easy to dress up, and Ejay fitted him with his best pink polo and coat. The mommies were quite a handful, though. Alex gamely helped Mommy Minda with her sheer evening dress and make up. Of all, Mommy Minda was the one who strutted and practiced her walk, prompting Mommy My Love to ask if she had been a model before. Another point of discussion were her super cool boots that all agreed was a more hip choice than her pumps. Mommy Carina was urged by Beauty to wear make-up as opposed to her classic look, and it did wonders to bring out her features. Mommy Sandy was a pretty picture in a pink dress, her hair fixed by Nikki. Nan was down on his knees as he tied Mommy My Love’s shoelaces as he fixed her up in jeans and a hoodie, her typical outfit, apparently. The girls would have none of it and insisted she change outfits. She emerged in a flowing tube dress and was truly blooming.

AsNikki, Alex, Ejay, Beauty and Nan were busy primping their parents, the rest were occupied with fixing the props and flow of the pageant. Rona and Priscilla exercised their hosting skills as they were the pageant hosts. Valerie and Andy served as judges, joined by Ms. Roberta Domingo (initially planned to be Roba Domanga), who was actually Robi in drag. He played his role to the hilt: full make-up, a tiara and a haltered mini-dress plus his careful covering of legs, a tearful wave, and a double-cheek beso to the guardians. So effective was he that he had the other boys have goose bumps over it and Daddy Erning shying away from his gentle strokes and besos.

The preliminary questions were silly ones, leaving a lot of room for free interpretation. For the talent portion, Daddy Erning played the guitar and sand “Ang Bayan Kong PIlipinas” and the classic “Anak”. Mommy Minda dedicated “All I See is You” to Alex’s dad, sung a capella. Mommy Carina and Mommy Sandy danced while Mommy My Love sang as well. After the final Q & A, the winners were announced, awarding the PBB Guardian of the Night to Mommy Minda. So excited was she that she hopped for joy at receiving the “crown” from the previous “queen”, Ms. Roberta Domingo. The pageant ended with everyone grooving along to the PBB theme song. To watch more of the pageant, catch it on Uber and Primetime Bida!

Andi plays ball

May 12, 2008 7:40 PM

Andi surprised the boys with her pro-like basketball moves which she learned from her father. The house player first faced off with Robi in a half-court game where the Atenean felt uneasy playing rough with a girl. But as Andi fired up her game, Robi decided to level up his skills. After the three minute one-on-one match, the Atenean scored six points against Andi’s four.

Nan was next to challenge Andi and the Junior Kenkoy used his speed to escape the house player's strong defense. Will Andi steal this game from the boys? Catch Uber tomorrow for the results.

Meanwhile, latest evictee Josef and his Tita Anna shared their feelings about getting kicked out with Uber host Bianca. Despite his eviction, Josef felt happy to be reunited with his family, but he still has to clear things up with his girlfriend. The Lasallite also clarified that although he and Nicole became very close inside the house, he still treats the In-Chick as just a close friend--at least for now. Josef even wore the red jacket that Nicole gave to him to the interview.

Tita Anna advised her nephew to take things slow with Nicole and for the meantime, enjoy the life that's ahead of him. She later revealed that she had already spoken with Daddy John and settled their issues.

2nd House Player - Andrea Eigenmann

After the entrance of Farina “Shy” Runkle last week inside the Pinoy Big Brother house as the “House Player” ng bayan, another house player entered the house Sunday night and she is celebrity daughter Andrea “Andi” Eigenmann.

Andi Eigenmann is the daughter of veteran actors Jacklyn Jose and Mark Gil. She played the role of Sandy in the weekday daytime soap Prinsesa ng Banyera which is currently shown on ABS-CBN.

In the confession room, Big Brother instructed Andi with her task as the 2nd teen houseplayer. She was also introduced by Big Brother to the first house player, Shy.

Andi will now help Shy in exposing the true colors of the teen housemates to help the televiewers in picking the right person to win. Big Brother congratulated Shy for a job well done in exposing the true colors of some female teen housemates who are currently nominated for eviction this week. That’s why this time, Big Brother gave the mission to both Shy and Andi to “challenge” the character of the teen housemates, specially the guys.

Friends kayo?
May 11, '08 12:31 PM

House Players, unite!
May 11, '08 12:28 PM

Fresh from the outside world pa itong si Andy kaya naman sinulit nila ang time alone para lalo pang magkakilala at mag-strategize. Keep it up, girls!

Bati na si Beauty at Alex!
May 11, '08 4:58 AM

At napa-slow dance pa itong dalawa.

Shy, Beauty's new rival?
May 11, '08 3:40 AM

May 11, '08 3:31 AM

In fairness kay Shy and Valerie a la Shakira ang belly dance nila.

Rona's on a guilt trip
May 11, '08 1:19 AM

May 11, '08 12:26 AM

Tulala at tunganga ang In-Chick from Cebu at walang kaimik-imik. Heartbroken ka ba or heartbroken ka?

Mother's day game
May 11, '08 12:13 AM

Naglaro ang teens ng game ngayon in honor of mother's day. Rona! Bongga ka Rona saved from eviction at ngayon may special prize ka pa from Kuya.

Idaan na lang sa sipol
May 10, '08 5:15 AM

Too bad at wala pa ring response ang Promdie Hottie.

Shy's dilemma
May 10, '08 2:12 AM

Welcoming Andy

May 12, 2008 12:22 AM

Compared to their reception to Shy, the teens were considerably lighter with Andy. Even after Kuya’s “revelation” that the two House Players were there to take the place of two of them, no antagonism was shown towards the newcomer. The boys, though curious, were welcoming. The girls already exchanged stories with her and even taught her their signature dance. This may be due to the fact that Shy introduced her, or because they have warmed up to the idea of sudden add-ons, or because of her sweet demeanor, or even because she was a celebrity’s daughter --- or maybe, this is just the calm before the storm. Andy was just settling in, but how will things be when she starts living up to the role of being House Player? Shy has set the bar high enough, with her smooth handling of their late entrance to the house and consistency. Andy certainly has a lot of catching up to do.

Fortunately, Shy has already made things a bit easier for her. Aside from giving her a tour of the house and orienting her with the basics, Shy also updated her on the teens. She advised Andy to keep talking with the housemates and give advice. The boys were her primary target, though Shy already started with Ejay. Apparently, Val was losing interest in the Promdi Hottie because of his kakulitan, which was in contrast to his quiet and shy personality in the beginning. Despite this, Ejay was still head over heels for the Dazzling Doll. Their story is definitely enough reason to be glued to the updates. Via blogs, headlines, or television’s Uber and Primetime Bida --- take your pick!

Shy also reminded co-House Player to be patient, because there would be moments when it seemed the teens did not care for whatever it is that they say. The bond between the original housemates was quite strong, considering Shy and Andy’s late entrance, so she must be ready to deal with that possible hindrance. Shy even took care of explaining their identical nicknames – House Player – to the others. She explained that Andy played poker, and as a tandem, Shy was the dealer and Andy was the player. Beauty poses the same question to Andy later on, and she replied that this probably referred to their interests: Shy was a poker dealer and Andy was an athlete. Beauty just nodded and shifted the conversation to Andy’s mom, praising Ms. Jose’s acting prowess in MMK and Princess Sarah, among others. Here’s hoping Andy really does know how to play her cards right, and Shy continues to deal her with good ones. No folding, girls.

Nan called Shy’s slip-up when she introduced Andy, claiming that her “twin” has been in the house for the past week, too. She was just hidden, she said, and Shy would visit her regularly during her times in the Confession Room. Yet Shy already said she was “all in” yesterday, meaning that she no longer had secrets from the others. Shy smoothly solved the slip-up by saying that she was expecting Andy to be revealed the day before, thus her “all in” call. Robi and the other boys wonder about the newcomer, as the others only knew her as Jaclyn Jose’s daughter, and an upcoming actress. Robi was better acquainted, which explained his surprised look earlier. Andy was his batch mate, and a recent graduate of Miriam, Ateneo’s sister school. During one school event, Andy hosted and Robi was one of the contestants.

Andy has been busy introducing herself and gamely answered the questions of the housemates. She shyly admitted that she knew next to nothing about chores, and asked if they could help her out. The teens agreed and shared that Robi was the best in teaching them how to wash the dishes. Shy instantly stepped in and volunteered the boys’ help in teaching Andy, again giving co-House Player a boost in her task to be close to the boys.

Another plus is in the house!

May 11, 2008 10:25 PM

A quick recap of past events showed the unfortunate eviction of Josef from Kuya’s house. Nikki was in shock, and couldn’t stop crying, even as she was comforted by Mommy Sandy and the other housemates. Beauty and Alex were likewise affected, though with less drama. Beauty recalled how Josef took care of her and Alex reminisced the times when Josef would teach him Tagalog or spend time joking around and having "boys’ talk". Before the eviction, Rona gave out her shirts as souvenirs, and despite the tight fit, Alex and Ejay wore them at once. Nan, Alex and Robi wanted to give a tribute to Rona and prepared a song for her. Ejay, who wanted to join, did a mock audition before the group accepted him. Even Josef attempted to join in the fun. Roses were given by the boys to Rona and Nikki. Through Rona’s fave song --I’m Yours – Nikki and Josef got to share a dance.

On the other hand, if the teens had their weekly task balancing on a wobbly contraption, the guardians dressed up as clowns and juggled. Daddy Erning was a natural, and he even taught Mommy Sandy the basics. It was Tita Anna who emerged victorious, though, lasting 1 minute, 40 seconds.

It’s a week of good luck for Rona, as she won the Mothers’ Day prize earlier. After being declared winner of the task where they had to piece together a puzzle, Rona was blessed with 100 seconds with her mom, who she hasn’t seen since her graduation. Amidst tears, Rona reminded her mom to have a check-up and Mommy Rose reminded her to "makibagay, kahit hindi makisabay". Alas, a hundred seconds were too short, but mother and daughter definitely made every second count.

What do Nikki, Beauty and Priscilla have in common? All three girls have committed grave violations several times. According to the official rule book, housemates cannot communicate without being heard. This included mouthing of words and whispering, both of which were committed by the three girls when they were discussing Shy’s sleep talking. On top of this, they also asked Shy info on the outside world, another big no-no. Because of these, no nominations from the housemates were needed for this week’s set of nominees. There’s no way around it: Nikki, Beauty and Priscilla are automatically nominated.

The polls are now open, so go ahead and be first in casting your vote to save the housemate of your choice! Will it be Nikki, Beauty or Priscilla? Help them out by voting online or text BB (name of housemate) and send it to 2331 (for Globe, Sun and TM subscribers) or 231 for (Smart and Talk N Text subscribers). Kuyanatics in UAE may also now vote by texting BB (name of housemate) and sending it to 4200 (for Etisalat subscribers).

The housemates’ days are numbered. The end of the season is only a few weeks away. With this, Kuya adds another plus: Andy, the second House Player ng Bayan! What are the true feelings of the housemates? Who deserves to be this season’s Big Winner? Along with shy, Andy would help Shy expose the true nature of the housemates, particularly the boys. Shy was called into the Confession Room to strategize her entry to the house. After a few moments, Shy finally introduced Andy to the teens as her twin, someone who entered the house with her but was kept out of sight. The reason Shy kept on entering the Confession Room, she claimed, was to check up on her. The boys instantly recognized her as multi-awarded actress Jaclyn Jose’s daughter. In fact, her mom was present to send her into the house, along with the reminder to keep her cool and have fun. Robi, on the other hand, knew her because she studied in his alma mater’s sister school: Miriam.

The teens were all called into the Confession Room and were informed (misinformed, was more like it) that the two girls were the newest pluses and were there to take the place of two teens who will be evicted at the end of the week. House Players’ prize money was upped to P20,000 per task, and a lucky texter will have the chance to win half of the pot. The house players’ first task for the week is to be clumsy to a housemate and the identity of which shall be revealed tomorrow, so keep watch on Uber and Primetime Bida. Aside from the mock double eviction, this week is also the guardians’ last inside the house, so look forward to the Guardians’ Big Night this weekend!

Remembering Moms

It’s Mother’s Day and the five teens whose moms weren’t present were at an all-time low. Valerie, Robi, Rona, Priscilla and Ejay were hoping to see their mothers and get to spend some time with them. However, Kuya would only award one of them with that privilege. In order to determine the lucky teen, the five would have to piece together a jigsaw puzzle of their mom’s profile. The fastest to do this would get to talk to their mom and spend 100 seconds with her.

When Kuya gave the go signal, the five rushed to find the missing pieces of their puzzle. They then went back to their bases and pieced together the profile of their mom’s. After a while, Rona jumped and hugged her housemates signaling that she finished first. Kuya however noticed that a piece was missing and not in tune with the whole picture. Priscilla had Rona’s missing piece and the Teen Debater had hers, placing the Differently-Abled Teen in second. Kuya left the decision to Shy, Nan, Nicole, Beauty and Alex. All pronounced Rona winner and the Positive Girl broke down in tears.

For the first time since the season started, True Blue Atenean Robi shed tears at the lost opportunity. He missed his mom terribly and he was expecting to spend this special day with her. Priscilla was also unhappy with the outcome of the game. When she emerged from the confession room after a brief talk with Kuya, she ran into the arms of pals, Rona and Beauty. She lamented the fact that she wasn’t given the chance to talk to her mom when she desperately wanted to. Though she was inside the house, she wanted to show Mommy Jinky that she made an effort for her. She was very grateful for her mother, who in spite of being a single mom, was able to bring her up and her two other siblings. Valerie on the other hand expressed her disappointment but didn’t talk about it. The Promdie Hottie masked his sadness and diverted the conversation to the profile he pieced together. Apparently, the picture he pieced wasn’t his mother's but Josef’s. Everyone humorously laughed at this and the gloominess of the housemates was lifted.

Rona still felt uneasy that she would be spending 100 seconds with her mom and the other four weren’t. She then decided to split her 100 seconds for the others to receive the same privilege she had. However, she has yet to bring this matter up to Kuya. Would Kuya agree to this proposal? Or is he preparing a much better plan for the housemates and a tribute for their moms? Nomination night is just around the corner! Who would this week’s nominees be? Find out on Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus and check out the PBB Multiply Site for fresh updates on the teens!

Ang boyfriend ay parang t-shirt

May 10, 2008 4:31 AM

This was one of Shy’s many “quotable quotes”. Now that Shy was no longer seen as “the enemy”, the girls were willingly opening up to her. As Beauty observed, “Ang lalim mong magsalita. Naiintindihan mo ang lahat dito.” Shy did not mince words, but the housemates have slowly accepted her as one of their own. Even Nikki was willing to take the frank commentaries of the House Player in good faith. Shy was really concerned with how Nikki was acting towards Josef, worried that the In Chick may be projecting a negative image for herself and was also disregarding the pain she was inflicting on their respective partners outside. She did not mean to be judgmental, but was very firm in her principles towards the issue. Nikki explained that when she finds something that makes her happy, she doesn’t want to let go anymore. She was scared of being alone, especially now that she’d be entering college. Shy reminded her that she was never really alone. Having a boyfriend was not the be all and end all of things. She didn’t insist her stand, but reminded Nikki that she had to decide and had to acknowledge where she stood. Though Nikki did not give in at once, Beauty told Shy to let her be, and trust that Nikki knew what she was doing, especially after Shy’s insights. Rona, who was an NBSB (no boyfriend since birth), gamely joined in the conversation and asked Shy about relationships. Shy equated boyfriends to shirts, easily disposed of when you grow tired of them or want a new one. “Hindi mo masasabi na ‘yung first mo, last na. Magsasawa ka, maghahanap ng iba. Parang… hindi pwedeng lagging adobo, nakakasawa.” Rona remained idealistic and wanted her first to be her last. Contrary to her statements, Shy claimed that when she was in a relationship, she was very faithful to her boyfriend. In fact, she still wore the ring given by her ex-boyfriend on her left hand. But when she’s single, “2 hours ka lang, kasi may kasunod pa!”

“Paano ka mag-ggrow kung puro walang kwenta iniisip mo?” Brutally frank, Shy dispensed advice to Beauty. She even suggested “The Purpose Driven Life” as a good read (though she couldn’t leave her copy with them, since it was given by someone dear). She called Beauty’s attention to her constant screaming, telling her that it was unbecoming. Beauty recalled all her sacrifices in being a housemate: no cigarettes, covering up for baths, and proper dressing, among others. She also felt she lacked something, that something was out of whack in her personality. Despite these, she was happy being inside Kuya’s house, and shared this with Shy. It wasn’t the first time that Shy expressed the intention to leave, but Beauty stopped her. “I’ll do anything for you to stay one more week.” Beauty believed that being bored and unhappy –Shy’s reasons—weren’t enough to quit. Beauty wanted Shy to experience living in the PBB house, and assured the House Player that, wise as she may be, she still had many things to learn.

Meanwhile, the boys were having fun re-enacting the crab challenge as they goofed around by the pool. Ejay lamented on the supposed German style of courtship, which was via text and the net. They also compared haircuts, as Kuya had their hair fixed. Later, all gathered in the sala to watch Ejay and Val on TV. Val was having her haircut and Ejay, a massage. The catch was, Ejay thought Val was the once massaging him as the Dazzling Doll commented as if she were. Afterwards, Ejay was all red when he heard the comments of the others. The night before evictions… is this another calm before the storm?

House Player ups pot money to 30k

May 10, 2008 3:16 AM

At the first opportunity, Shy rushed about the girls’ room to grab and hide Nikki’s clothes. For the House Player’s fourth task, she had to hide half of Nikki’s stock of clothes without anyone knowing. Since she was always first to bathe, Shy had the room to her for a few moments, and she stuck the clothing under her mattress. She had another go at clothes-napping moments after, in between chores and even with Valerie sleeping in the next bed. After taking her bath, Nikki noticed the lost items and rushed to Kuya. Contrary to her expectations, Kuya simply shrugged off her panic and reminded her to be more responsible next time. Shy succeeded in her task once again, increasing the pot money to P30,000. However, she had to figure out a way to return Nikki’s clothes. She hot her chance when Kuya called Nikki in the Confession Room, and in just a few minutes, she managed to stick all of Nikki’s clothes in the In Chick’s luggage, with a few seconds to spare to prevent suspiciousness. Once out of the Confession Room, Nikki was still at a loss as to what happened to her things; Kuya remained mum on the entire event, and told her to just search again. The other teens urged her to look in the luggage, and lo and behold, her missing clothes were in her maleta! This did not lessen her confusion, and in fact added to it, as she continually claimed that they truly weren’t there earlier.

Her relationship with Josef was falling to pieces. True to his word, Josef had been studiously staying out of Nikki’s way, and made efforts to avoid situations with her. This had Nikki out of sorts, but as much as the girls wanted to ease her worries, there was no way around it. After all, Josef wasn’t obviously avoiding her; he just kept himself busy with tasks and Alex (who was in on the challenge). Still, Nikki felt bad that Josef was treating her differently and seemed set on avoiding her like the plague. During the weekly task, Rona instructed them to hold hands to keep from falling. Nevertheless, Josef stayed away and conversed minimally.

Two more tasks were up next. One was in honor of Mothers’ Day, where the teens composed a poem for their moms (mostly, it was Rona who dictated) within 30 minutes. They texted this to Beauty who was in the Confession Room, who in turn wrote it down on a huge card and later recited it to the guardians. Roses were also given by the teens to the ilaw ng tahanan.

Their last task was a game where they had to go into the pool, blindfolded and with only Shy’s voice to guide them as they picked golden coins that were hanging by a string above them. Before letting them wade in the pool, Kuya showed them live crabs getting poured into the pool. All the while, they thought that there were live crabs nipping at their heels, when in actuality it was only Luis with tongs. Shy, who was their guide, was in on the gag, and also acted as though there were real crabs. Beauty was first in, but she didn’t even last a minute before she scrambled back up, crying. Josef was next, but not even he was up to the challenge. All the teens took their turns and in the end, Priscilla won, with 3 gold coins. For this, she and a housemate of her choice (Rona was her pick since it was with the Positive Girl that she felt most close to, despite their recent conflict) got to go take a trip to ManilaOceanPark. Both were amazed at the sights and thoroughly enjoyed their “underwater” prize trip.

Teamwork at its finest

May 09, 2008 9:00 PM

After winning last week’s RC cars challenge, the teens were brave enough to bet 50% of their budget for the fulcrum table task. After a week of practicing, the teens confidently executed the tricks they had to do on the table this afternoon. In groups of four, they would have to balance, walk in reverse, and trade places with the housemate across them all in the span of the Kabataang Pinoy theme to be able to win the challenge.

Ejay, Beauty, Alex and Josef were the first to display the art of balancing on the fulcrum table. Josef constantly reminded them to concentrate but unfortunately Ejay fell off during one of the exhibitions. The next batch was comprised of Valerie, Priscilla, Robi and Nan. Though the group started off slow, they were able to perform everything within the time limit. The last batch of housemates – Shy, Rona, Nicole plus Nan – did the exhibition fastest. Kuya in the end overlooked Ejay’s mistake and declared the teens winners. He then announced that they will be receiving an additional P7,500 to their weekly budget.

If things seemed to run smoothly for all, it’s certainly the opposite of what’s happening between Priscilla and Shy. The Deaf Dreamer from Davao won the Crabadaboo challenge yesterday and she felt that Shy is insinuating that she owed it all to her. However, in the actual game, the Differently-Abled teen did owe it all to the teen house player, who gave her special treatment inside the pool. The house player practically got the gold coins for Priscilla for her to win. When will Priscilla ever settle her issues with Shy?

One more chance ba ang Nicosef?
May 9, '08 12:12 AM

May 9, '08 12:07 AM

Streeetch and Eat game
May 8, '08 11:54 PM

Naglaro ang teens stretch and eat the footlong game!

Beauty-Shy bonding moments
May 8, '08 10:47 PM

Val and Rona go Low
May 8, '08 10:01 PM

The makeover continues
May 8, '08 4:47 AM

Kaya ngayon, todo bonding ang dalawa over make-up.

The cold shoulder

May 09, 2008 4:00 AM

While Nikki was fixing things in the room, Shy shared that she didn’t like to be in the house anymore and was thinking of leaving. Yet despite her earlier claim that she’s been having a hard time getting along with the rest of the housemates, Shy still got to spend time with various housemates. She took Beauty up on her offer to keep her company. Once again, Beauty was the confidante as Shy shared that she didn’t like being plastic. She wasn’t one who’d be okay after an apology. To appease her, it would be better to give her space to sort things out on her own and cool herself down. Alex, on the other hand, gave a comedic moment when he had her giggling over random topics.

The Italian Valentino also had issues of his own, specifically with Beauty’s apparent coldness towards him. Josef played the role of mediator this time (one played by Beauty with him and Nikki a while back) as he approached Beauty and prodded her to talk with Alex. “Parang high school!” teased Josef, in reference to Beauty’s same comment towards his relationship with Nikki. Beauty shared her thoughts with the other girls, who sang love songs (care of Kuya’s piped in music, no less), while Beauty shed tears amidst smiles. Moments after, she was wrapped in Alex’s arms.

Val and Ejay spent time together after the others were in bed. What are the recent updates with this two lovebirds? What’s the deal with Alex and Beauty’s closeness? How are Nikki and Josef dealing with their distance? Will Shy get to fit in anytime soon? Know the answers to these and more by staying tuned to Uber and Primetime Bida. Also, do your part and have a say in who stays and who goes. Just text text BB (name of housemate) and send it to 2331 (for Globe, Sun and TM subscribers) or 231 for (Smart and Talk N Text subscribers). Kuyanatics in UAE may also now vote by texting BB (name of housemate) and sending it to 4200 (for Etisalat subscribers). Power-tripping

May 09, 2008 4:00 AM

Of all the housemates, Nan was one who could play whatever hand was dealt him. Always with a smile on his face, he rarely gave in to teasing, even if it was at his expense. In fact, he’d even be first in on the joke, the one who’d laugh the hardest. This time, however, the House Player dealt a pretty tough game. Shy’s third task was to irritate Nan, and the moment she stepped out of the Confession Room, she was at Nan’s side, with an endless stream of below-the-belt comments. Seemingly unaffected, Nan kept on eating, and did not even attempt to leave the table. However, he went to Kuya after and there became quite emotional in expressing his sentiments. He admitted that he had second thoughts about pushing through with PBB, feeling insecure of his limitations and lack of physical appeal. Kuya appeased him saying that no one was ugly, being made in the likeness of God. Still, Nan sought comfort from the other boys, who felt for him and showed full support. Ejay, for one, reacted on Nan’s defense. Nan really felt bad since Shy insinuated that he was really ugly and stupid. Though they all had an inkling that it was a task (Robi even noted that Shy just came from the Confession Room before the incident happened), it didn’t lessen the effect on Nan.
Kuya called Shy in and announced her success on her third task. Shy was really ecstatic about it, as her pot money has now grown to P 20,000, and exclaimed “I knew it! I’m so great!” However, she still had to fix the rift with Nan. She approached Nan, who obviously had a big shift in his treatment of the House Player. Shy claimed that Nan reminded her of her cousin, whom she missed, which was why she went overboard in teasing him. Nan, not one to hold grudges, accepted her apology and said “P is P – past is past.” All was well once again… at least, until the group task.

The teens were made to create their own superhero, and to their surprise, costumes were ready for them and were soon tasked to be their own unique superhero. Once they hear their self-made chant, they had to rush to the telephone booth, change in to their costume, climb up a platform and recite their chant. Each had their own unique power. Nan was Bulol, who was super bilis. Ejay was Zoperman (a hybrid of Zorro and Superman) who had super suntok powers. Alex was Kuya Alex (patterned after Big Bro himself) who had super lagos powers. Josef kept up his crazy antics as Super Utot, with powers that is explained by his name. Robi had the power of invisibility as Pinoy Kid. Nikki was the Fashionista with ultra kisay powers, while Rona was Positive Girl with super rewind skills. Hyper Shy had buhawi powers and Priscillicious Gypsy had mega gaya. Val the Amazona had telekinesis and Beauty, as Super Piggy, had the great power of mind control.

The teens were divided into two teams: Super Housemates vs. Power Teens. Nan was the odd one out and was Super Referee. Both were trying to gain possession of the power ball by competing in various challenges. It was because of the last task that Shy and another housemate got on each other’s nerves. Ejay and Shy were on the same team, and they ahd to hide the power ball from the other team. The members couldn’t find a compromise as to where to hide it and finally, Ejay stuck the power ball in the beverage fridge. Shy vehemently opposed, complaining that they could have found a better place. Rona tried to stop her, and Shy said, “Kung okay lang sa inyo matalo, e di okay!” True enough, Val saw the power ball, and the Super Housemates won 120 to 80. The super Housemates then became the “master” to their chosen “slave”. On top of being bossed around, Ejay had to wear boxing gloves, Josef had to act constipated, Robi had to be blindfolded, Rona had to talk backwards and Shy had to spin around.
In choosing their slaves, Alex initially chose Robi, but changed to Josef. This was still in line with him helping out Josef keep his word to Kuya to stay away from Nikki. The In Chick hesitated a bit, and eventually chose Robi. Val didn’t even bat an eyelash in choosing Ejay, to the Promdi Hottie’s delight. “Kahit habambuhay,” he quipped, to the others’ laughter. If punishments were always like this, he added, it was fine for him to be on the losing end anytime. Pris chose Shy, which sparked another issue.

Shy was tasked to wash dishes and Pris kept on reminding her to spin around. Shy couldn’t believe she had to do it even while washing and had to verify with Kuya before following. This irritated Pris no end, and had her muttering and complaining about Shy being a prima donna who was too lazy and refused to follow instructions. Beauty understood her side, though for her sake, warned Pris to control her words as she might be taken the wrong way. So irritated was Pris with Shy’s actions that she couldn’t agree Kuya’s comment about Shy being the most diligent. On the whole, Kuya was pleased with the clean-up and lifted the punishment.

Already seated apart from the rest, Shy opted to skip dinner and stayed in the room. Beauty and Val approached her and reminded her that she didn’t need to adjust to them anymore; they were available for her to hang out with or talk to. Shy still went to Kuya and explained that she usually and no qualms about joining new groups, yet no matter how she was enjoying Kuya’s house, she did not enjoy being with the housemates. Given the growing friction and doubt, will she be able to complete the final task which would have her hiding half of Nikki’s clothes?
Just a couple more days and it’s Eviction Night once again! Who will the people find deserving of a spot in Kuya’s house? You can still save your fave housemate: Rona, Josef or Nikki. Crabadabadooo!

Earlier this afternoon, Kuya placed crabs at the bottom of the pool to psyche the teens for today’s Uber game. Everyone stared at the crabs and silently hoped that they don’t have to come in contact with the sea creatures. After the teens left the pool area, Kuya had his "pets" taken out and replaced the creatures with a giant "crab" named Luis Manzano. The PBB host will assist Kuya in terrifying the housemates during the game with the help of steel tongs.

The Crabadababoo game required the teens to gather as many of the gold coins hanging over the pool but black coins were mixed in with the gold and the housemates must avoid them at all cost. Also they have to be blindfolded and go through the task with only Shy’s voice to guide them. Kuya hinted that his pets are still waiting for the teens inside the pool making them worry about the task. The big man of the house actually just wanted the housemates to get over trust issues. The winning housemate will be getting a special trip to the Manila Ocean Park.

Beauty was first up and even though she was still at the shallow part of the pool, was already panicking. She screamed a lot and refused to go further into the pool and ended up with no coins. Josef went next and he was as scared as Beauty was. He also failed getting any gold coins. Nan followed and even though he was more courageous than the Lasallite, he too didn’t score any point. Who among the teens will emerge victorious and unafraid of Kuya’s crab?

House Player Shy would also be given her 5th and final task. She has to make one of the housemates her new best friend. The voters decided after the poll that Beauty should become Shy’s BFF. Will Shy redeem herself after losing the handcuff task with Robi? And was she successful in annoying Nan? Watch out for these stories and more on Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus on primetime!

RONA-tics dumarami...

Go RONA!

Happy Mother’s Day!

May 08, 2008 3:06 PM

After a back-breaking physical challenge, a mental challenge awaited the teens. Nan was called into the storage room to pick up a cell phone. He was tasked to gather the teens and wait for a text message. After a while, the phone beeped and the teens received a message from Beauty. The daily task of the teens was to make a 3 stanza poem on why they love their moms. They would only be given 30 minutes to do this and the time pressure agitated the housemates. Everyone randomly pitched in their ideas and Priscilla encouraged each to contribute a line. Rona was used to making poems for her mom and fed them line after line.

The teens sent this composition via text message to Beauty. The Rebellious Beauty was in charge of compiling these and writing it down on a fancy cardboard. Afterwards, Nan, Nicole and Alex were called into the storage room to get several bouquets of roses. The three then delivered these to the guardians and soon there were gushing, tears and warm hugs. The guardians were obviously pleased with this surprise and Mommy Minda declared that she was “hats off” to the teens’ collaborated effort.

Will this be the first of a series of celebration for their beloved moms? Get to see the teens’ winning poem later on Uber!

Nicole ponders over her missing clothes

May 08, 2008 2:27 PM

This morning as the teens got ready for the day’s activities, Nicole was shocked to find out that she’s missing 16 articles of clothing. Nikki’s confused for she seems to have lost her clothes overnight. She told Beauty of her dilemma and the two searched all over the girls’ bedroom but found no trace of it. Shy, whose 4th mission from Kuya was to hide Nicole’s things, kept a poker face all through out the search and even offered the girl from Cebu use of her own clothes. Nicole was really bothered by her missing clothes and went straight to the confession room to ask for Kuya’s help.

Kuya however did not offer a solution for the worried housemate and instead told her to be more responsible with her things. Nikki expressed her concern of someone breaking in their room but Kuya still did not give her a clear response leaving her more puzzled than ever. Nicole then sought out the boys’ help but unfortunately they were as clueless as her.

While Nicole conducted a “clothes-hunt”, the other girls bonded over make-up. The teens noticed that Shy owns branded make-up and knew how to use them with expertise. Beauty asked Shy if she can do her make-up and Priscilla also asked the house player to do the same for her. Shy agreed and through the activity she eventually got to know the girls better. The housemates even asked her if she’s Bisaya since she knows the dialect and Shy explained that her father’s half-German and half-Bisaya. She also revealed that she often speaks the dialect when she’s with her officemates, who are mostly from Davao.

The girl talk was interrupted when Kuya announced that it was time for them to practice for their weekly task. The housemates seem to be getting the hang of balancing on the fulcrum table, with the first batch (Valerie, Priscilla, Shy and Nan) maintaining their balance in a few seconds. Will they deliver in tomorrow’s final test? Will the In-Chick from Cebu discover Shy’s secret task and ruin her chances of winning P10,000? And when will Kuya reveal Shy’s mission to the housemates? Find out more on these later on Uber!

Super Housemates vs. Power Teens

May 07, 2008 7:43 PM

The housemates were tasked to create their own super hero and their works ranged from the conventional to the totally outrageous. Ejay came up with his superhero Zooperman by combining his idols Superman and Zorro. Beauty grew fond of Kevin’s nickname for her and named her superhero Piggy. Josef was known for passing out gas and he constructively turned this into his own superhero, Super Utot. But this didn’t measure up to Alex’s superhero which broke the teens into peals of laughter. The Italian Valentino created a hero patterned after Kuya and named his character, Kuya Alex.

The Kuya Alex joke however didn’t end in the presentation of characters. The teens had to make a chant for their character and Alex had an ingenious spiel that went well with his superhero. He copied Kuya’s famous line "Housemates pumunta kayo sa confession room" and Kuya jokingly asked Alex if he was to be pleased or insulted.

With their costumes and spiels in hand, the teens are now all set for their ultimate task. Two teams, Super Housemates and Power Teens would have to go against each other and take a hold of the power ball. Whoever has the power ball would gain 10 super points. The teens could use their super powers such as "super suntok", "ukltra kisay", and "telekinesis" in order to defend their base and their ball. Whoever earns the most points would win the game. Which super team would emerge victorious?

On the other hand, Kuya switched Jayson Gainza and Joaqui Mendoza’s roles during their visit yesterday. Jayson played "kuya" for a while and even gave Joaqui a "mice surprise" but the ex-teen housemate had his revenge by putting the Season 1 housemate in an awkward situation with Alex. Jayson’s first assignment was to talk about Alex’s circumcision and give his insights on the task. Second assignment was to convince the Italian Valentino to show him the operated part. Will the Italian Valentino oblige and give in to his Kuya Jayson’s request?

Meanwhile, Shy has been given a new task and that is to hide a thing belonging to a certain housemate. Valerie, Nicole and Alex were among this afternoon’s poll choices and the people voted Nicole as Shy’s target. Will this further cause conflict between the two girls? Was Shy successful with her second and third assignments? Find out the answers to these later on Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus on primetime!

sUPERHERO tASK

May 07, 2008 2:44 PM

Kuya woke the teens early today and instructed them to dress up for their task. Earlier this week the housemates were tasked to draw their all-original superhero. All took this task seriously except for Josef who drew high heels on his superhero. Everyone was in for a surprise when Kuya announced that he had these drawings made into costumes and Josef would have to wear his high heels. Aside from this he also stated the objective of the game which was to collect many power balls in order to gain super points.

When all emerged from the confession room, the boys snickered at Josef who struggled in wearing the heels. The Lethal LaSallite muttered to himself that he had to start practicing walking in the pair. The girls on the other hand took turns in prepping themselves up and fussing on their hair. The teens talked about their super powers and Nan talked about picking the “super bilis” skill. He would also act as the teens’ referee and judge who among the Super Housemates (Nikki, Priscilla, Alex, Val and Beauty) and the Power Teens (Robi, Ejay, Shy, Josef, Rona) would win. The Junior Kengkoy from Davao was so into his role that he started swishing his props of a long metal pole back and forth, as though preparing for an attack. Rona joined in Nan’s game and also reviewed her “mind power”, asking the guys on how she would go about it. Valerie and Ejay sat away from the group and rehearsed their spiel as superheroes. The Dazzling Doll revealed that she would be the savior of Mother Earth and stop global warming while Ejay would save the world and be a Filipino superman.

The other girls are cheery and all with their renewed friendship. After battling out their differences and triumphing over it, they were once again friendly and sisterly with each other. But how long could they keep this up before Shy causes conflict with Nan and annoy the teens’ “brother” so? Who among the Power Teens and the Super housemates would grab the power ball first and be declared victorious? Catch this exciting game later on Uber!

Joaqui surprises the teens; Kuya surprises Joaqui

May 06, 2008 7:26 PM

On Uber today, the teens have another surprise visitor aside from Mariel. Ex-PBB teen housemate Joaqui Mendoza was invited by Kuya to do a special task for him. Joaqui had to follow Jayson Gainza’s (PBB Season 1 housemate) instructions through an override inserted in his ear. The teens must not discover that the ex-teen housemate was acting upon the new Kuya’s orders.

Joaqui’s first assignment was to give Valerie a bouquet of flowers. Since the house has undergone several renovations since he was there, the young man was confused as to where the girls’ bedroom was. He accidentally opened the boys’ room much to guys’ wonder and confusion. The ex-housemate smiled sheepishly and hurriedly left the room. When he finally opened the door to the girls’ quarters, the ladies screamed in surprise. He then handed Valerie the flowers and everyone giggled and teased the Dazzling Doll.

If his first challenge was to surprise the teens with a treat, the second was Kuya’s treat for him. Jason ordered Joaqui to retrieve a gift box inside the storage room. He has to open the box in front of the girls and tell them that they can have a piece each, hinting that the might contain chocolates. However, when he ripped the wrapper off the box and opened it, a mouse jumped out and scurried away. Joaqui, who has a big phobia on mice, immediately dropped the box and ran into a corner. Shy was brave enough to pick up the mouse and encouraged the ex-housemate to get over his fear of the harmless creature by touching it. Joaqui eventually gave in to her prodding but the ex-housemate looked like he wanted to throw the poor mouse at the girls. Hmm.. what could Kuya’s surprises mean?

Meanwhile, Uber host Mariel also revealed Big Brother’s third task for the house player. She has to completely annoy a housemate and the names drawn for the audience vote were Ejay’s, Nan’s and Alex’s. Nan was the winner for this afternoon’s poll, making the task a daunting one for Shy. As we all know, Nan’s is a pretty jolly fellow and isn’t easily ticked off by teasing and snide remarks. Also did Shy accomplish her “handcuff Robi” mission yesterday? Catch the results of this and the conflict between the original housemates because of Shy on Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus on Primetime after Lobo!

"We don't like her!"

May 06, 2008 1:37 PM

On the house player ng bayan’s first day with the teens, Rona obliged to update Shy with what’s happening inside the house. She also took the chance to get to know the new girl from Pasay and soon they were fast friends. However, Shy seems to have rubbed the other girls the wrong way and often talked in secret about her. First they felt that she has a strong personality and is trying to snag Josef away from Nikki. Beauty also thinks she’s after Alex now, obviously threatened by Shy’s boldness towards the boys. Rona reminded them that they shouldn’t be too judgmental but the other girls alienated her instead since she looked liked she’d rather be with her new friend. Beauty was so affected by Rona taking sides that she shared the issue to her mom. Mommy Carina advised her daughter to stop saying bad things against Rona for she and the other girls would be seen as antagonists.

Beauty relayed her mom’s words to Priscilla and the two cemented a new alliance against Rona and Shy. However their conversation about the matter was cut short when Rona confronted them about the issue. Beauty, without batting an eyelash, said that she was upset with Rona befriending the new girl and it would take time for her to be close with the teen debater.Priscilla also added that as the original housemates they should stick together. Rona apologized then exited the room, unaware that she has offended the other girls. Once Rona was out of earshot, Priscilla told Beauty that the teen debater was probably headed to the confession room to tattle on them. Beauty then remembered her mom’s advice and told Pris that they should take heed of it or else appear to be the mean girls.

On the other hand, Valerie said that she’s for the unity of the girl housemates but she also understands what Rona is going through. She knows that Rona only wanted everyone to be open to Shy and not make her feel out of place. However, Valerie thinks Shy is an attention seeker and said that all the girls should just give the new housemate a cold shoulder.

Ejay, najejelly nga ba?
May 7, '08 2:32 AM

Binalik naman ni Valerie ang tanong at sinabing: what do you think?

Josef's hidden talent
May 7, '08 2:27 AM

Hmm.. Sige nga Josef, ilabas mo pa ang ibang super talents mo

Teens turn Superheroes!
May 6, '08 11:55 PM

Bukod pa dito, may kaniya-kaniya silang super powers.

Looks or Personality?
May 6, '08 10:23 PM

Nag-iwan pa ng quotable quote ang Rebellious Beauty na, "Treat me like a princess and I'll love you forever"! Aba sosyal talaga itong teen haciendera!

All are friends again!
May 6, '08 10:07 PM

Abangan. Samantala, friends na ulit ang mga teen girls at chikahan to the max sila sa mga crushes nila habang nagpaplantsa ng buhok. Hmm.. Parang walang naganap na awayan kahapon ha!

Nicole's Big Question
May 6, '08 4:56 AM

The Reconciliation
May 6, '08 4:47 AM

May 6, '08 4:08 AM

Robi and Nan are in on the secret
May 6, '08 3:03 AM

Valerie is Rona's new confidante
May 6, '08 2:07 AM

May 6, '08 1:46 AM

Nomination night pushes through

May 05, 2008 10:39 PM

Last Saturday, Kuya held a survey among the housemates, the basis for this week’s immunity game. The guardians had to choose which housemate garnered the most votes in the survey. The categories were mixed. Nikki was perceived to be nagbabait-baitan and pinakamabango, Ejay was thought to be hindi malinis sa katawanmahina ang utak, Rona was tagged pinaka-OA and Beauty was pinaka-chismosa. Mommy My Love won, granting Nan immunity from this week’s nomination. The guardians couldn’t help but defend their wards. Daddy Erning, for one, shared that Ejay was in fact a consistent first honor student since grade 6. and

Meanwhile, House Player ng Bayan Shy was intent on fulfilling her tasks. Though she is not an official housemate and cannot be part of the Big 4, Shy can win prizes by successfully completing the tasks assigned to her. She gets P10,000 per task, and so far she seems to be getting it all done. On her first night, Shy already planted the seed for her task of convincing the teens that she was crushing on Josef. On top of dropping hints, blatantly fishing for info and finding ways to be next to Josef, Shy was also directed to pretend to sleep talk about him. Of all her strategies, this one took the cake and left the girls – especially Nikki – with wide eyes, open mouths and raised eyebrows. Her next task is to handcuff one of the housemates and Robi, with 50.59% of viewers’ votes, was chosen to be that housemate. Will Shy be able to pull this task off as well?

The nominations cannot be avoided any longer. The top nominee of the guardians, with 5 votes, was Josef. He was also the top nominee of the housemates, with 11 votes. Already his fourth nomination, will the Lethal Lasallite keep his luck and survive another week? From the girls, Rona got 4 votes and Nikki got 8 votes, getting the second and third spot on the nomination list. Will the Nicosef tandem hold up, or will Rona’s good intentions see her through?

Shy succeeds in her first task

May 05, 2008 9:13 PM

In the confession room, Big Brother told Shy that she succeeded in her first task as a house player. But with her achievement comes the next challenge of handcuffing a housemate without his or her knowledge.Uber host Mariel Rodriguez drew names out of a fishbowl and the people had to vote who between Robi, Valerie and Alex will become Shy’s victim tonight. By the end of the show, Robi got 50% of the votes followed by Alex, who got 32.85% and then Valerie, who got 16.56%.

Meanwhile in the activity area, the housemates tried their hands at the challenging Fulcrum Table game, this week’s task. With their helmets, shoulder pads, and knee pads, four players at a time have to balance themselves on top of the shaky platform. Once they find a stable position, the four players must aim to make a full turn counterclockwise without a member falling off the table. Aside from that, each player must switch places with the housemate across him or her.

Josef, Ejay, Beauty, and Alex were the first to try out the game.It took the four teens some time to balance themselves. Being the only girl in the team, Beauty couldn’t help her self from screaming every time the table moved. The four fell off the huge “top” eventually without accomplishing the task. In the second round, Nan was joined by Priscilla, Robi, and Valerie. The four tried their best to finish their turn, but they soon discover that balancing was not as easy as it looked. Will the teens succeed at this task?

Meanwhile, be sure to catch Pinoy Big Brother Teen Edition Plus after Lobo for the full details of Shy’s first task. Most importantly, find out who will be this week’s set of new nominees in PBB Teen Edition Plus’s 5th nomination night.

Shy makes a strong first impression

May 05, 2008 2:09 PM

Rona and Priscilla were later joined by the other girls in the bedroom for a private talk. The Positive Girl was very much concerned with the entrance of Shy in Kuya's house. Rona sensed that the latest addition was sent for a particular reason, and that was to test the bond that they have had after more than six weeks of being together. Priscilla also shared the dream she had about the housemates getting torn because of Shy, with some taking the masked lady's side while the others were against her. Rona later raised her concern on Shy's confession regarding a crush for Josef, finding the Lasallite cute, hot, and interesting. The other girls also thought that maybe, Shy's first task was to test the growing bond between Nicole and Josef, and Rona reminded the In-Chick not to let herself be provoked by Shy's actions. In the end, they all made a pact that whatever happens, their bond will remain strong.

Meanwhile, Shy was left in the company of the guys, some of whom were guarding the chicken grill outside. Contrary to the antagonistic vibe that the girls were getting from her, the newest house player seemed to be having a great time with the boys. Shy showcased her expertise with the playing cards to Alex, Nan, and Robi, while the rest ogled at the sight of the new girl whose face remained hidden behind an eyemask. Probably it's the mystery that kept the guys' eyes on her, or it's just the nature of adolescent men to get excited whenever they get to meet a new lady.

The girls later came out of the room one by one, and Nicole called Josef for a serious talk. The Lasallite however felt uncomfortable with his smoky odor, but the In-Ch
