It’s Jolas’ birthday, and it was kicked off with a surprise 2-on-2 basketball game. Jolas and Daddy Ike tested their skills against PBA idols James Yap and Peter Simon. Daddy Ike couldn’t believe his luck, especially at his age. Jolas received James’ jersey. The two PBA stars got a bit of a jolt as Kuya implied that they could be housemates, but later on shared that both thought Jolas had the potential to make it big, Another surprise came in the form of chicken feeet, the Gentle Giant’s fave dish. This was prepared by Mommy Susana, Jolas’ mom, and the teen couldn’t help but cry as he read her card which came with the food. Daddy Ike also stepped in, complete with a cake. Daddy Ike couldn’t help but shed some tears, as he recalled how he never got round to buying Jolas a birthday cake.
It’s eviction night in just a few more hours, and more tears are sure to be shed by the housemates. The voluntary exit was still unknown, and things go on as before in the two households. Robi crossed over to the guardians’ area to talk to Daddy John and Tita Anna. Daddy John explained that he was tough on Josef because the teen was his fave, even before being in the PBB house. He saw himself in Josef and felt that the Lasalllite was another son to him, which was also why he didn’t want people to regard him as a lazy guy. Tita Anna was up next in talking to Robi, but she was quite skeptical about Daddy John’s sentiments. Despite Robi’s reminder to keep an open mind, she insisted that she did not and would not believe in anything Daddy John says, so it would be virtually useless to talk to him. Mommy Minda later adds her two cents, saying that all should learn to forgive. She even gives religion a shot as she gives Jesus as an example, saying that if Jesus who did not sin could forgive, then so should we. Still antagonistic, Tita Anna replied, “E hindi ako si Jesus e.”
True to their word, both Kevin and Daddy John try their best to resolve their conflicts. Kevin and Josef had already patched things up. Kuya talked to Josef, stressing that respect for elders is a must, despite everything, and that he would not tolerate disrespect. Josef owned up to his faults and promised to control his anger and emotions and to respect his elders at all times. For this, Kuya commended his humility and acceptance. Within seconds, Daddy John was in the Confession Room as well, and Josef greeted him with a hug and an apology. Daddy John returned the same with enthusiasm and repeated what he told Robi earlier. He added that elders can also be wrong, and again apologized for his actions. “You are a good boy,” he said. “I love you.” When Kevin found out about the patch-up, he was relieved and wanted to talk to Tita Anna, to find out how things can be fixed. Tita Anna was still obviously pessimistic, stating that she had been emotionally battered by Kevin’s father. She wanted a sincere and remorseful apology from him, but one that was neither demanded nor requested by anyone. Kuya intervened, saying that though he wasn’t forcing things, it would help a lot if they fixed the conflict already, especially as Josef and Daddy John were already on good terms. Daddy John has already requested that he be allowed to cook Tita Anna breakfast, make fresh orange juice for her cold, and offer her flowers. Hopefully, this would be enough for Tita Anna to close the issue.
Meanwhile, days after the tragic haircutting sacrifice, Kuya called Alex and Kevin and had their hair styled. They emerged quite different than their original hairstyle, prompting Priscilla to say she was crushing on Kevin. The other boys saw this and were also treated to a better haircut (plus clothes!). Thanks to photographer Richard Perez and Stylist Jane Kingsu, the boys had a pictorial showcasing their hairstyles.
Speaking of funky hairstyles, the Sikat sa Haircut is still accepting entries until May 10. Gather a group of at least 5 and take a high-res pic showing off your PBB-worthy hairstyles. If you’re chosen, your picture will be displayed on a billboard outside the PBB house and you get P 50,000 to split between the members. Click here for more info on the contest. Keep updated with the goings-on by logging on to the official PBB website and Multiply site. Also, don’t miss the live exit of Daddy John and Kevin from Kuya’s house on Primetime Bida, right after Lobo.
